We are going to Disney World last week of Sept and staying at Art of Animation. We have 4 Adults, two young children (3 and 4) and two infants. 3 on one reservation, 5 on the other.

I made a first pass at the ADRs we were after for pre-opening character breakfasts. Heres what I tried and could/couldn't get

Sept 23 Crystal Palace - No
Sept 24 - Norway No
Sept 25 Play and dine Yes
Sept 26 Ohana Yes
Sept 27 Tusker House No
Sept 28 Crystal Palace No

With the time between now and the actual trip, would you keep trying for 8 for the ones I didn't get or split into parties of 3 and 5 and try that way. We would be OK sitting separately and having reservations a few minutes part. Its not ideal but better than nothing.

If it were me and we really, really, really wanted to go to these restaurants and are ok sitting apart, I would book separately but try and get times close together. Then, I would keep calling back every few days and see if they had an opening for all of us together and if so, book it and cancel the first one. I always find that it's more fun if all of us can sit together, but if not, at least we are still having fun, even if apart.

Book reservations for 3 and 5 now since you want to eat at those restaurants before park opening. Put one res in your name and phone number and the other in the name/phone of someone in that group.

Because you still have lots of time until your trip, keep checking online to see if any reservations for 8 open up. That's a large group and you have specific dates planned so I would check every day (even multiple times) if you can. If you get a res for 8 be sure to cancel the 3 and 5 because all of the places you listed do have a credit card penalty if you don't cancel in a timely manner.

Good luck!

I am trying to get LeCellier for lunch on Sept 20 for 5. I called to see if I would have more luck than on line. I asked about checking for a table for 2 and one for three. The CM told me that if they had both tables available that the reservations would have been made with a note that your party may not be seated together. Good luck.
