DH and I are leaving for Vero beach tomorrow morning - thought we would spend our last day at the star wars weekend but decided to get a room for that night. We have no more points left (I used them all up on planning our December trip - woops ) We were going to book a night with cash. Which would be better, Coronado or Riverside (Dixie Landings)? Can anyone help with their sugestions please!

This is just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt, but for just one night I would go with the best rate. Both resorts are pretty much the same, room size identical, PO has 2 sinks, Coronado 1 sink. Both have double beds (or King if you want that). Both have food courts, one sit down restaurant, pools (IMHO Coronado pool is better). I think it would matter more if you were staying for more nights, but let's face it for one night especially where you said you want to enjoy the Star Wars stuff you really won't be in the room that much. Either resort would be perfectly ok.

ENJOY and May the Force Be With You!!!

We've been to both but our heart is always with DXL. CS was very nice but it didn't have the warm feel DXL has. The food court, we feel, is also much better at DXL. We actually have stayed at DXL on 3 occasions prior to purchasing DVC, but only stayed at CS once. Perhaps we didn't give it enough of a chance. Either way the rooms are very nice.

I've stayed at both and liked Dixie Landings better (now PO Riverside). I agree about CSR's food court, I didn't like it either. It was more expensive to start with and then they added the 10% gratuity. I liked the grounds at Dixie better too. One thing better at CSR was that the rooms had central air (with a digital thermometer) rather than the "below the window" AC. But if you're only going for one night, I'd say go for the best rate.

We have stayed at Coronado Springs and greatly enjoyed it. The resort is absolutely beautiful, it was quiet, and our room was perfect. We requested and stayed in the Cabanas section. I would not hesitate to stay there again, though since we've never tried RS or PO we want to give those a try sometime. The breakfast buffet at the Maya Grill is wonderful too! We plan to go back for breakfast during our next trip.

Hope that helps,

i love DL - however the CRB (which was not on your list) is really, really close to MGM. So you might want to consider it for one night.
