Help need info

My wife just called me to ask the experts what the crowds are like around the first week in june. We know its still value season and hope the crowds aren't too bad. Any info would be appreciated.

Crowds are large but not overwhelming. Just note, since it matters to some, that it is the annual Gay Week at WDW.

If i'm not mistaken isn't the star wars week around that time also.
What we are looking at is the 6-10 of june 2010. Trying to plan way ahead with family.

Current estimates are that this will be a record season for attendance at WDW. The Disney promotions have caused even the slower periods to get busy.

Guests aren't buying the extras and more families are eating off-site or packing their own food so dollar wise Disney is still hurting.

The crowds are what I would call semi-crowded meaning their are a lot of people there at this time as some of the southern schools are out of school already as well as some on the west coast and there will be many tour groups there at that time as well (brazillian mostly). The mornings will be most beneficial to get up and out early to do any type of park comando. If you sleep in, you will find mid-day frustrating (which is when we would head back to our resort) and then by evening it will thin out a bit. But is is fairly crowded but easily managed with the right strategy...

And as others have said, it is a star wars weekend so avoid DS on Fri/Sat/Sun and it is also the unofficial "wdw gay days" which starts the first weekend of June each year. Just a note - I would suggest that you avoid wearing red to the parks unless you have a great sense of humor.

Star Wars at DHS is early this year, last 2 weeks of May and 1st 2 weeks of June, which may affect the numbers. Typically, early June is less crowded than the rest of the Summer months since most northern schools end after June 10th. Florida schools end June 5th, we go immediately after that. It's a little less humid than July and Aug and a little less crowded!

As others have already said, SWW will be going on so DHS will be packed on the weekends. Personally I find it to be quite hot in May & June but not quite as unbearable as July & August. The southern schools are ending so the FL resident passholders are visiting to get their fill before the blackout dates begin. It is more crowded to me than I like it.
