Thanks Beth! I'm sure my son's birthday will be more memorable now. :D

Hello, I have a question regarding birthday cakes too. My family and I will be celebrating our son's b-day at the world also but we leave in 11 days. Does anyone know how soon you have to order a birthday cake at a restaurant? We don't have any particular restaurant in mind. We just know that we want to have a b-day cake after our dinner on Friday June 20 for our son. :) I read the reservations page and I believe most restuarants wanted ressies to be made at least 30 days in advance, does that include b-day cakes if you want one?

Also we will be staying at CSR and was wondering if maybe we could get a cake from one of the restaurants there? Does anyone know :p

I called the 1-407-WDW-DINE number and ordered a "birthday surprise" for my son for the character breakfast we are attending. I called about 10 days before we'll be at the breakfast. It was no problem at all. Also, I plan on ordering a cake from our hotel restaurant for after our dinner that night. I will do that when we check in tomorrow. Good luck! :D

OH my gosh! I am glad someone asked about this!

I had no idea that there were party type things available.

We will be going in Oct 2004 and Nov 5 our DD will turn 19.
What a great surprise that would be....a boat trip with fireworks.

That seems very reasonable too!

Thanks for posting the info!

We did the rehitching ceremony at the Garden Grill for our anniversary, and they brought us out a small cake that had a flat candy topper on it decorated with a drawing of Mickey and "Happy Anniversary".
We just walked in and asked if they had any tables available (around 4:30). I was surprised by the cake!

I read in one of the post about a "Birthday Surprise" that was ordered for the Character Breakfast. Does anyone know what it is? We're taking our son for his 4th birthday and are planning a CB for the birthday morning. Any other suggestions for making the brithday memorable would help alot! Thanks
