It is 9:30pm and we're flying out tomorrow at 6am and I just found out that my Visa/Debit card has been compromised and frozen by my bank. ALL of my Disney vacation money is in my account!!!

My question is: Does Disneyland accept Discover Card?? I'm hoping and praying they do! If they don't, I'm SUNK! I have $400 in cash on me and that is it! UGH

Hope someone is online who knows that answer to this...I am having NO LUCK searching the Disneyland site.

BLESS YOU! That is what my Dad said....but I'm in the middle of hyperventilating. LOL Thanks for your speedy reply!

Looks like I typed just a little too slowly. ;) ha!

Have a great and awesome time at the land! :)

You guys rock! Thankfully I will be able to relax a little now. Of course I will have to call my financial institution when I get down there and have them start the process of getting me a new card and disputing the payments to ITUNES. I am NOT a happy camper....but I'm thankful they pulled the plug before the creeps totally bled my account dry. They were spending $45 every 5 min. GRRRR.

Ok....now to focus on THE MOUSE and PRINCESSES. :-)

I use my Discover Card every day, everywhere at Disneyland (some of the Outdoor Vending carts only take cash - everywhere else, Discover Card is welcomed).

If your bank has a local branch in Anaheim, you should be able to get a temporary card to use during your trip. But it might not be worth the time if you can get by with the Discover card. You might want to call Discover, though, and let them know to expect a bunch of charges from Anaheim. I'm guessing that would be unusual activity and it might trigger a fraud alert on your Discover card, too. :scared1:

I guess I shouldn't complain. I got a voicemail from my bank a while back saying they'd sent me a ATM/debit card because the one I had was susceptible to fraud. I spent 15 minutes going over every transaction from the previous three months and spent an hour on the phone with them trying to figure out what had happened to cause a fraud alert. Nobody had any idea. No suspicious activity of any kind. "Well, I know they want to move the gold check card customers to platinum. Maybe that was it." That's better than finding out someone actually drained money out of my account.

My rambling has a Disney point, tho. I thought I'd updated all of my automatic payments with the new card info. Nope. Missed my AP. Had to wait at the gate for about 15 minutes while a very nice CM updated my AP account to apply future payments to the new card.
