Help! My laundry turned yellow!!

I washed a new lime green shirt with my light colored/white laundry and apparentlyit was not color safe. All of the laundry looks splotchy yellow. I ran everything (minus the offending shirt) through the laundry 2 more times with a color catcher (which turned bright yellow), but I can still see yellow splotches on the light clothes. I know that I can wash the pure whites (socks, underwear, etc) with bleach, but what can I do for the other items that are grey, tan, etc?

ANY help would be appreciated!!

you can use a bleach pen (I love this thing) if you have something with white stripes that you can't bleach. would a color safe bleach work on the tans and greys?

Was the "color catcher" you mentioned Ritz Color Remover? I used that one time when I washed a red top with my whites by accident, and it did a great job. (It was in by the bleach department in WalMart.)

No, the color catcher is just a single sheet that goes in the wash to collect excess dyes. I think that Shout makes them. I used it only in the 2nd and third washes (along with some Clorox Color). I usually only use the color catchers when I do a dark load. I will look into the Ritz Color Removers. Perhaps that will do the trick.

Hey Suzi - this might be time consuming, but try it if nothing else works.

I swear by my Spray N Wash stain stick. It has even worked on stains that have set in things that have gone through the dryer several times! It'll take rubbing it over all the spots. I'm not sure if they make a spray version or not.
