Too much sun-and-fun this summer, I guess! Can anybody recommend a GREAT deep-conditioner for color-treated hair? (Nothing by Redken, please--I swear I'm allergic to everything they make!)

Thanks in advance! I'm going for a cut and color next week, so that should help, but my Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner for color-treated hair is just not going to be adequate.

Joico Kerapro...shampoo and conditioner.

Framesi Indulge shampoo with Reconditioner II conditioner.

Frédéric Fekkai - Shea Butter Moisturizing Conditioner for Ultra-Dry, Thick, or Unruly Hair

Not sure if they still make it but ST Ives Hair Repair treatment works great.

I have never personally done it, but my friends also swear by Mayo and a shower cap.

Aquage Hydrating Shampoo
or
Biosilk Shampoo/conditioner with Silk Therapy

I use the Aquage Hydrating Shampoo, the Biosilk Conditioner and Silk Therapy everyday (I'm a stylist, lol, I use everything).

I also fired my hair ths summer and used this product till it was gone and it worked WONDERS on my hair!
The price is'nt bad either $4.00 at Walmart.

You need to deep condition and you need to daily condition. ONe time under heat isnt going to cut it. Your hair lost a lot of protein - hence the ickies.

Sebastian Laminates - Deep conditioner (dont know the exact name) with heat.... in fact, shower cap it and sleep with it. I do this periodically just because.

Sebastian Potion 9 - Daily. This stuff is amazing. I will swear by it until the day I die. Expensive, but worth it and you only use a small amount - so it lasts a while.

Dd has dry dry hair, so I tried Ojon restorative hair treatment. At the end of summer, she went back to the hairdresser to get a relaxer and the hairdresser said she must not have been going to the pool and taking care of her hair. DD told her that she went swimming 3x a week and the only thing she had been doing was that I was putting the Ojon in her hair 2x a week. It really made a huge difference.
