When we first moved to Florida, I decided I was going to dye my light brown hair to have light blonde hair. Well, having no experience coloring my hair, I bought a box of color that looked nice and put it in. First of all, there wasn't enough product in there for all my long hair! The color only got on some of the hair, and what I ended upwith was three shades, none too flattering.
I had to go to a professional to fix it. Since knowing no one here, I walked into the mall and went to the nicest looking salon in there. I asked if they could help me. They called one of the stylists over and said it would take some time to even it all out, but they could do it.
They had to seperate all the different colors and re-color each section on its own because each section now needed a different amount of coloring and a different amount of time for the coloring to sit on it. 3 or 4 hours later, I walked out a platinum blonde.
I am back to my natural light brown now, and only have some blonde highlights.
Go to a professional. Good luck and I hope that your hair turns out the way you envisioned it.
