Ok here's the deal my DU TA will be out of town April 5th - 14th! That is when the possiblity of free dining will come out! :scared1: In her email she gave the names of two other TA that will be covering for her but she said in her email to contact them only in the case of an emergency, and that she would handel everything else when she returned!!!! What do I do if free dining comes out??? Can I email these other agents and ask them to add the free dining to my reservation? Would you consider this an emergency?? HELP!!! I'm a little freaked right now!!!

Sure I would contact them.. you are the customer and it is your money!!.. so I would even call them and not waste anytime with an e-mail since who knows when it will be answere

Why not e-mail your DU Agent now (before she leaves) and ask if they've already made arrangements to convert eligible packages as soon as (if) free dining is announced? Also ask if they haven't, could she please arrange to have YOUR package converted at that time, instead of waiting until she gets back.

I expect that they will either be working while out of town, or will have someone else covering for them. It doesn't hurt to ask.

I'm sure that everything will go smoothly and you wont miss out on the free dining. Contact your agent before she leaves and discuss your needs and wants with her. :)

shes back the 15th,and the 14th thats when the free ddp is rummered to be released

All DU agents designate a back-up agent while they are away. The back-up agent will assist with questions and/or changes that cannot wait until the assigned DU agent returns. Many times the DU agent will have a laptop or remote access to email and clients and will still work while away.

The back-up DU agent also has access to the the full list of clients of the agent they are covering so that they can take care of any discounts or specials that come up while the regular DU agent is away.

I know the rumored free dining package has everyone on edge but rest assured your DU agent has plans in place in case this is released while he/she is away.

Since DU specializes in Disney I would think they know about the free dining and are ready for it. I would tell your agent that you really want it and ask her if another agent can try to get it for you or if she'll be working while away. I'm sure it's no problem at all.

Thanks everyone! I emailed my DU agent and she is all set to have those covering her add the dining if it falls within our dates of travel!! You guys are the greatest! Thanks for the advice!! :hippie:
