I have 2 cats, at 4am this morning we were woken by Thomas ( big longhaired ginger and white fluffball) shouting at the door at the bottom of the stairs, ( he is not allowed upstairs at night as he has a very loud purr) 20 mins later i was trying to go back to sleep and saw a big cat shape go past the bedroom window scared: , it then jumped thought the top window :scared1: :scared1: which was open and came through the curtains and started purring!!! he had climbed a tree and then walked along the extension roof past our neighbour windows ( we live in a semi) and into ours. i let him stay for 10 mins then put him back downstairs, so he did the same thing again!! i am now absolutley shattered and a bit worried as it is quite a big jump he has to make onto a slopeing roof and i really don't want him to slip and hurt himself!!

Any Ideas??

I'm amazed, ours keeps trying to go out of the bedroom window from the top it's about a 26 feet drop to the ground. There must be something in the cat food this month, how about getting something else for your cat to climb? It's probably just trying to act out natural behaviour and needs something else to climb.

Ahh............just let him sleep on the bed :)

At least it would let you get a night's sleep :lmao:

Ours sleep on the bed and trample us half to death every night, doesn't stop me sleeping though! I did get woken up by Scott yelling the other night cos Jinx had come up to him in the night and bitten his chin!!!!

Your cats acrobatics are very impressive it has to be said - no idea how to stop it other than closing the windows. Ours aren't allowed out after dark.

How do you know ?? Was he shaken but not stirred ??? :rotfl:

Sorry I couldn't resist :)

:thumbsup2 Keep the windows and doors shut preferably locked (no cat burglers...sorry) and let that cat know he's staying in at night LOL :goodvibes :goodvibes Might be a good idea not to let him in the bedroom for a while, ours claimed our bed as his own but now I don't let him in unsupervised, so he uses DS's bed during the day (just sheds hair everywhere) . That said he goes out if the weather is nice but never leaves our property!! :goodvibes :goodvibes Try and make time for just the two of you so he gets some attention one to one I try to do it every day but sometimes he'd rather sleep or watch birds etc. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Unfortunatley he doesn't, we used to let him but he kept deciding to give us nut bumps in the middle of the night and purring very loudly :rolleyes2

 Has he had access to your bedroom for long? He may just be very affectionate or be trying to tell you "The birds are up so where's by food?"
Have there been any new cats moving into your neighbourhood lately? He might be defending you from other cats .. your bed might be his "safe zone" if he feels anxious. Just a few ideas off the top of my head..if your happy for him to sleep with you that's great :goodvibes :thumbsup2  :cat:
