If three poeple go into a pub and have £15. There meal at the end adds up to £15 but they pay £10. They keep £1 each and the manager keeps £1.This adds up to £14.

Where has the other £1 gone?

or...

it could have been the tax on the meal (doubt it was 1 pound, but they could've gotten change for it so technicaly it would be gone)
