Hi,

My very generous friend is paying for her, myself, and another friend to go to Disneyland together! It was an incredibly generous surprise!

Does anyone have any ideas of special events, VIP extras or surprises we could arrange during our visit (end of Nov into Dec). I have never been to Disneyland so I don't have much to go on.

She is in her twenties, an animator who loves all things disney.

thanks so much

Okay so these were the two that were on the top of my head when I read your post. I haven't done the priority seating for Fantasmic but we are planning on going for our anniversery this year!
Priority Seating at Fantasmic
$59 dollars for seating and a dessert tray which for the price I don't know that I would everytime for the price but for sure on a special ocassion. (Price may be different)
We love Goffys Kitchen for Breakfast!
Here is a link of Times and Locations of all of the Character Meals and prices

I'm sure there are Vetrans that can tell you way more but these are few things our family loves to do and wants to try our as well! ;)

You could pay for the Fantasmic Preferred Seating. It is a reserved area with seats. They serve you unlimited soft drinks- yummy hot cocoa and a very large snack/dessert box. It is $59 per person. One of you will need to get in line to check in early (around 7:00) to get front row seats. Or you could do one of the tours. Since you are there for the Holidays, the Holiday tour is nice. You get a guide to take you through the park and talk about traditions. Yu get front of the line on the Haunted Mansion, take the traon over to Toontown. Front of the line for Small World, hot cocoa in a keepsake mug and a gingerMickey. And reserved seats for the parade. And you get a special pin. Do it at night so you can enjoy the lights. It's $59 but they do give AAA and Disney Visa discounts.
Or you could do a special meal at Blue Bayou which is part of the Pirates of the Carribean ride, or one of the character meals.
How special for all of you to do this together!!! Have fun planning!!!

DH and I just did the Fantasmic dessert seating and the Segway tour at DCA a few weeks ago. We enjoyed both, but really had a lot of fun on the tour! :goodvibes (It costs $99 per person, but if you have an AP or Disney Visa you get 20% off).

We also got to ride in the Lilly Belle, which would be a nice thing to do if you have not already. :)

Walk in walt's footsteps is a great tour. Gift baskets are nice. Something else that is unique is a disneyland name badge like the cast members. Lunch or dinner at Blue Bayou or Napa Rose. Make sure you go to the animation building in DCA and check out the Zeotrope. There are so many wonderful things you can set up.
Where are you staying?

Fantasmic! Priority Seating or the Holiday Tour. I think they are both the same price. One (F! PS) has been well explained above. The Holiday Tour takes you through the park exploring the holiday decorations, you get to ride Haunted Mansion Holiday and IASW Holiday without lines (plus a ride on the RR in between). You end the tour with hot chocolate, Mickey ears gingerbread man, and priority seating to the Xmas parade.
