I'm trying to get the kids to get along better and make our house happier :goodvibes . I'm creating a chart where the kids can earn 'I did something good' tickets. I need help with the prizes/rewards though. Here's what I have so far:
First person to 25 tickets gets a mystery bag. (this is some arcade cards I found in with our leftover tickets)
First person to 50 tickets gets to pick a restaurant for one of our ADRs.
First person to 75 tickets gets to pick the waterpark we visit.
Anyone reaching 100 tickets by August 1, 2009 gets to pick where we stay.

I need other ideas for 125, 150, 175 and 200 and I would also like ideas for 'when' they reach certain levels. I thought I could do them all Disney trip related but I can't possibly come up with that many things. I guess I could do more mystery bags and come up with fillers later :rolleyes1 .

You did not say how old they are which is a major factor. When I do rewards it when you hit a certain number of stars you get this, not first person because I am dealing with a 4 year old. That way they can get a reward and not give up if they are too far behind.

We just reinstated the reward charts yesterday too (in GREAT need of some positive reinforcement in my house these days)! We do ours a little different...I give them little stamps when I catch them doing things that I gave them as 'goals' ("Use Nice Words", "Listen to Mom & Dad", "No Fighting", "Help Mom & Dad", etc....they are 3 1/2 and 5 1/2, so the goals are pretty simplistic). Anyway, I got a bunch of 'grab bag' prizes at the Target dollar spot today - they will get a 'prize' when they get 10 stamps. They had a lot of great little prizes in the dollar spot! Not sure of your kids ages, but you may want to check it out! Good luck! Hope it works for both of us.

I found a web site with cool charts to print off.

I have to say it was very funny when my 15yr old wanted a chart cause all the other "younger" children had one. LOL didn't want to miss out on the icecream. :)

I toyed with that idea, but decided to implement "Mickey Money" instead. Mine weren't helping around the house, but they do get one slipped into their hand when I catch them being patient with each other when they really don't want to be. Each one is worth a dime, I put the cash into envelopes each payday, but they see it on the whiteboard I keep on the fridge. We have been at it since September and they are doing quite well. I just told them that I am not buying them anything at the parks aside from their meals and snacks. It is amazing at the difference in my house. Plus, it saves me $ since I don't have to be fair and buy all three something from every souvie shop that one wants something from.

What about:
choosing the 1st rides at the parks,
or "calling the shots" for a morning at a park (within reason- like which direction & rides),
or where to sit for a parade/fireworks,
or what shows to see,
or how many times Dad has to ride Tower of Terror with them (make them really want to get there!).

Get the "make Mom or Dad" do something silly, pose with a character or ride a ride they will ride, but maybe not like as much - as a 200 point one. My Dd would love to make us "do" something, be silly or whatnot.

We are doing something very similar! My dd9 and ds5 (will be 6 when we travel) have a "Disney Dollars" chart. Each household chore is assigned a dollar amount--they complete the chore, they get the money put in their "Disney Jar" (which is really a whiteboard in the kitchen). The week before we leave, how ever much money they have "earned" will be put on a Disney gift card that is theirs to spend how ever they choose, BUT once its gone, its gone!

This way, everyone is happy! I get stuff done around the house and they get money to spend on vacation. I figured I was going to spend the money on them down there anyway, might as well make them earn it!!:thumbsup2

I agree w/ pp - I set my levels at a specific amount not the first to get there... that keeps EVERYONE motivated!

our typical rewards
-1, 5, 10 etc Disney Dollars (or money for other vacations)
-1 hour of being in charge (where to go, what to do) DS8 LOVES this one!
-Gets to pick next movie we go see (out of choices preselected by mom/dad)
-Gets to pick the word of the day (we have a game where we select a word of the day and then everyone in the family see's how many ways it can be used properly throughout the day
-Gets to pick ride and ride partner (ds's always argue over who sits by who)
-Gets to pick desert or appetizer and dinner partner (again, the sitting by fight)
-Gets to pick next book bedtime stories are read from

Some apply to Vacation and some to just general life, but its fun using bribery!

:)
