Help me with my reservations!!

I booked 2 rooms at ASMo (August 21st to 29th) for myself, DH, DS, DD and my DD and 3 grandchildren when FD was offered to Canadians back in December. My other DD and her BF now what to join us. I have called trying to add a 3rd room and the CM is telling me that since the offer has expired I can't add a 3rd room. The CM was very surprised that this was the case. I can, however, modify my reservation to change to POR and add my DD and her BF.

The new offer for FD doesn't start until August 25th. Any suggestions on the most economical way to add my DD and her BF? We don't want to change our dates.

Basically all the rooms that qualify for free dining are booked at ASMo. They only offer discounts to fill rooms, so if the rooms are filled, you can no longer get the discount.

You can see if any of the other values close by (i.e. ASMu or Sports) has a room for free dining available or change your dates.

Sounds like POR is a viable option, but that is a LOT of people in two rooms. Dining plan is not the end all be all. Perhaps they will offer a room only discount between now and then, you can add a room to your current hotel, and just pay out of pocket for food. With sooo many people on the dining plan, I'm sure people would be willing to share an app or a dessert with your DD and her BF.

Why is it that they will allow me to modify my reservation to a resort that will accomodate a larger party and then add 2 guest, but they won't let me modify my reservation to add another room when you are permitted up to 3 rooms on a discount code?

You can book up to three rooms if they are available at that resort. Only a certain amount of rooms are held for the discounts.

That means that POR needs filling rooms, so they have more rooms in inventory for a discount.

The CM indicated that there are rooms available at ASMo and was prepared to book one using the same discount, but then said I couldn't add another room but that I could modify my reservation to a resort that would accomodate a larger party and add 2 more guests.
