We like Hungry Howies for pizza - no seating though, just carry out

Just wondering to eat offsite do you have to get back on I-4. I hate going into the busy traffic down in the Orlando area.

Nope. Just exit property through Hotel Blvd by Downtown Disney.

If you go to the Left you will find. IHOP, Denny's, Olive Garden, Steak n Shake, Joe's Crab Shack, Chilis, Sizzlers, Pizza Hut, Cicis Pizza, Burger King.

If you go straight into Crossroads plaza you will find: Mcdonalds, Taco Bell, Buffalo Wild Wings, Chevy's, TGI Fridays, Sweet Tomatoes, Red Lobster.

If you go right you can find Chick-fil-A, Wendy's, Golden Corral, Landry's Steakhouse, Applebees, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Cicis.


All of these are less than 1 1/2 miles from the exit of Disney property.

Love Sweet Tomatoes! It is super close to WDW (in the Crossroads shopping center) and you can load up on some veggies and healthy food, which is usually something you need during a vacation full of greasy food.

I vote for Sweet Tomates too!!!

We have always stayed off site and stayed 1 time onsite and make it part of our trip to eat at Sweet Tomatoes. This place is great!! It's inexspecive healthy food that is the break you need from all the park foods. We are heading to WDW in a little over a month and our plans includ eating at Sweet Tomates for 3 different nights.

We go to Millers Ale house is that the same as Orlando Ale house? there are also chinese and Mexican places in the different strip mall, Perkins for Breakfast is in Crossroads and if you head over by the outlet mall you pass a Longhorns Steak house on right right before the Church and further down on left Outbacks Steakhouse... just google the restarurant you want to go to and then search online for directions. When we stay at SSR we even often just walk it is a mile or a little more to some but we do not mind. Within a short distance you can find anything you want...

And don't forget about checking restaurant.com for orlando area deals (when you have codes for $2 or $3) or purchasing used gift cards for those chains in advance of your trip for more savings.
Time before last we ate out a bunch and used restaurant.com Giordanos was one of the restaurants. Only hard part was actually eating enough food. Almost always had to order appetizers to get over their $35 dollar limit (which when you took off the $25 certificate which was purchased for $2 ended up costing us $12+tax and tip to feed our whole family and have leftovers to bring back to the condo we rented. Not too shabby!

I second this. I have a stockpile of restaurant.com certificates for House of Blues and Giordanos. We've also tried some other good places with certicates- an Indian restaurant near Universal (Tabla) and a Morrocan place on Vineland-apopka (Falafel) that we really enjoyed.

This is one of our favorite places to eat! I am a vegetarian and there are soooo many options! It is very reasonably priced and food is great! We love it!

Yes, we usually stay at BWV or SSR(that is where we walk from) just head down to DTD and make a right at the light on to Hotel Plaza Blvd. down to light for 535, Crossroads Shopping center ahead, right or left send you to other restaurants.

We ate at Millers in Oct/Nov trip and I had a lobster dinner , can't remember which day during the week for like 10.99. I was the only one who got it and when it came it looked so good my son took a phone picture and sent it to his friends.. NOW this is not fancy just reasonable food. Someone who worked at Disney told us about it in the hot tub one night, I think she was the voice of one of the characters at Monsters Inc.

Ive been getting gift card a quibids.com for about a month. So far ive gotten Outback, Chillis ( brinker card can choose from 4 places), Applebees, gas cards, and walmart cards. Ive spent about 170.00 but Ive won 400.00 worth of cards. It is a gamble but if you dont win you do have the option to buy it and the bidding money will go towards the cost of the card or item your bidding on.

In a past post I asked if they were the same and someone posted that they were not, I thought they were. the directions were right in my post that you copied?

Orlando also has some good Brazilian and Cuban places that we've tried. We hop on Yelp and Urbanspoon on our phones and pick some things out every trip that are new mom-pop/local type restaurants and enjoy! There's also a sort of Carribean/Texas Mex fusion chain place (forget the name) in the Super Target shopping center, so we usually eat there our first night then pop into the SuperTarget for our groceries. Cheap, yummy and very easy.

Also, I am supposed to eat ketogenically (this flies out of the window for Boma and Marrakesh, then I go back on the wagon), so we love Cracker Barrel, and there's a good one close by.
