Can anyone supply me a room number for a single story Boardwalk Grand Villa with one large balcony? We looked at room 4047 as it's a single story Grand Villa however, it has three small balconies. Any help would be appreciated as we arrive in a month and would like to make a room request with a large balcony. Thanks!

Your best bet is to request a room with one large balcony.
If you requst a specific room and it is not available when you check in, the room assigner has no idea why you requested that specific room and you may well be out of luck. If you request one large balcony as your request, they know what you are looking for and can try to accomodate you
Good luck

As the PP said, it is VERY difficult for DVC to accomodate specific room number requests. You are better off stating what you want in a room rather than a specific room number.

Considering there are only seven GV at the BWV, there are six other members who may already be checked in before you even get there. So you may not have a choice. But, just add that to your request and maybe you'll get lucky.

At Christmas 2007 we were lucky to get GV 3037. It had a wonderful view as you can see. Our balcony is outlined by the white box.

We got at BWV at around 9am.

Thank you everyone for replying, especially Snow Shoe. Grand Villa 3037 looks amazing in its location. One last question about it. Does it have one large balcony which you can walk across the whole balcony or is it broken up into three seperate smaller balconies?

If you look at this image it looks like you have one continous balcony. Did Grand Villa 3037 have that? If not does anyone know of a Grand Villa that does?

As others have posted in your request ask for " one floor GV / large, continuous balcony" or a description to that effect.

This is will be your best chance of getting your request met.

Requesting a specific room number is usually not going to get you your request because if that specific room is occupied by other guests when you checkin and/or not available for all nights of your stay then they will not be able to interpret what you were hoping for based upon you just requesting a specific room number. Description usually works better when making request because it is pointing out particulars you are hoping for.

Good luck :goodvibes

For the most it is one continuous balcony. The ends where the master bedroom and the other end where bdrm #3 is are screened off as private ones.

We stayed in 3037 two years ago and I almost cried when I saw the view and size of the villa. Nothing else since then has compared!

Question: Are there some grand villas at BWV that are not one floor? I was under the impression that they were all one level (no 2-story grand villas) at BWV.

There are 2 floor and single story GVs from what I've been told. We are requesting a single story one for our trip in January. I might try to ask for 3037 but I thought the higher floors had a better view of Epcot's fireworks? Are there GVs above 3037? I would like one continuous balcony also.

Have these units been refurbed yet? I'm sure they will be done by our trip but I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of them yet?

Grand Villas that face directly out onto the Boardwalk are above Big River

Grille and Thimbles&Threads area - - I'm not sure if all GVs face out this way

but some certainly do & depending whereabouts located

your viewing of Epcot fireworks may be somewhat limited at

best because fireworks would be to far right over ESPN Club.

Here's link to BWV & BWI resorts map so you can get a better idea.

Thanks for the info. I will just add "a continuous balcony" to my reservations w/o specifying a certain room and we'll see what happens.

I have another question. I've seen pics of the standard room at BWI and the 2 Q bed room has a sofa/daybed. Will they be putting these sofa/daybeds in the standard rooms or GV 2nd and 3rd bedrooms at BWV too? I need it because my 2 teenage DSs don't want to sleep in the same bed.

Bose - keep us posted on what you requested and what you kind of room you received.
