Help me, what to do??

We are flying into Sanford, FL using Allegant. We are staying at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress for the first night. Then for 5 days we will be staying at Saratoga Springs. Then I want to drive to see my mom in Tampa for two days. Then we need to drive back to Sanford to catch our plane. There will be 2 adults and 2 children.

Is a rental the only way to go?? The best rate I found was $230 for the week. We will NOT be using the car at Disney. So for five days it's just going to sit there!

What would you do, is there any other option?

Rent for the week. You can do the math. Price a one way one day rental from Sanford with a drop off at a WDW area location. Price a 2 (3?) day rental with a pickup at a WDW location and a drop off at Sanford. I suspect the 2 one way rentals, priced at a daily rate, will cost more then a weekly rental.

A car service from Sanford to WDW would cost around $200. $230 to rent a car for the entire week sounds like a good deal.

Thanks, I was leaning toward the week rental but the car sitting for 5 days was bugging me. I did not like the ideal of renting returning renting then returning either.

I guess I just need to hear from others that it's worth it to just rent. $230 is a good deal compared to others right now, I guess my getting a week rental for $100 is history.

Agree, also you may want to use it if you are doing any resort dining. It will be so nice not to have to do resort-park-resort bus riding just to get to your ADR.

I don't know if rental rates from Sanford are as competitively priced as rentals from MCO. The days of $100 weekly rates are all but history. Make a reservation and keep looking. Try sites like Kayak and try mousesaver codes. You might get lucky.
