I am clearly missing something so would love some help. I have an Aug UY. I want to book May 2014. I am all borrowed out in 2014. But I thought since I was travelling in 2014, I could borrow from 2015. Am I looking too far out to borrow?!?!

May 2014 is in your 2013 use year. So you could borrow from your Aug 2014 UY, but not your Aug 2015 UY.

A May 2014 trip would still be in your 2013 UY (August 1, 2013 to July 31, 2014). So if you're already out of 2014 points then I think yes, you are looking too far out to borrow.

That last one should read "2015."

I do IT Regulatory Audit work for a living, which means I have to know about IT Security, SDLC, be able to read programming, understand the vagaries of diverse systems and architecture AND understand auditing and the current regulatory advisories . .but that guide still confuddles me, although at least it's clearer than the official Disney guide to UY.

Any time I have a question, I just call DVC reservations and let the nice person on the phone figure it out for me!
