I'm going in May, and I hope you report back with your actual experiences. I'm more interested in what is actually being allowed at Disney than what people who haven't been there since COVID say is being done/allowed.
We just returned and have been 3 times since reopening. In our experience this last week, not much has changed in practice since the beginning. PM me if you'd like more details and actual experience. It doesn't look like I can PM you and don't want to start a debate on here, but happy to share what we saw/experienced last week.

I have been several times since reopening. It is not "being allowed"--if CMs see it, they will intervene. We were in a long a winding line for HM and had already waited close to an hour when a CM caught some snackers in line and booted them out of the line. Have also seen numerous CMs chase down "walk-and-eaters" and stop them. Saw some people being escorted out of the parks, crying kids in tow. But of course, also saw cheaters get away with it. CMs can't be everywhere at once. But (1) that doesn't mean it is "allowed", you can be caught, and they may be severe consequences, and (2) the rules are there for a reason--other guests deserve an environment where everyone is following the rules and helping to mitigate the risk.

PMs are not necessary--it's not a secret and has been widely reported on the "Here Now and Just Back" thread that you will see people at Disney break the rules, and sometimes, they don't get caught. Sometimes, they do.

We are stating what is allowed, which is both based on the posted rules AND our direct personal experience of what can be, and has been, enforced. Surely, you wouldn't report that you saw someone cut in a line and therefore that means Disney is "allowing" it. Rule breakers exist, but doesn't mean the rules aren't enforced when a CM catches it happening.

Lol...thx for letting me know if a pm is necessary or not.... Not that it has anything to do with you, but the pp I quoted was asking about the reality-based and actual experiences. Your statement above stating that if a cm sees someone eating in line they will say something was far from my experience at the 4 parks this past week. I try pretty hard to separate personal opinion/feelings apart from experience as it helps me tremendously to know actual experiences and does nothing to help set my expectations or understand what to expect hearing ppls opinions on here as to what they feel is right. Anyone who's been on these boards for any length of time knows that just because Disney says A, doesn't mean it's reality. - You know the whole park opening is 9am, but thst really means closer to 8...or transportation never started more than 45 mins prior to park opening, but that was always totally innaccurate; which is why these boards have generally always been so helpful and contained useful information. However, ppl.s personal feelings about something do nothing to help someone plan. That would be why I wanted to pm, because unfortunately there are many that can't help themselves and insist on debating someones experience as to how they want something to be. I'm only interested in actual experiences and the reality of what's happening at the parks and I try to repay that in the same way. I certainly wasn't asking to pm you or anyone else to debate anything, but I'm happy to try to help others who are looking for actual experiences when I can... and your permission is not necessary.

Sounds like you have some really great times at Disney!

I tried updating my settings. Let me know if it doesn't work. I would love hearing what's actually happening at the parks without the stuff about families being escorted out with crying kids in tow :-)

I have a hard time believing they throw people out of the parks for eating a snack??

That is what is actually happening. Sounds like you don’t want to hear that though.

No I very much do want to hear it, but other people aren’t having the same experiences as you. Their experiences count too. Sometimes on these anonymous boards, the line between what one sees and what one wants or thinks they should see becomes a bit blurred.

Maybe people don’t want us all to visit so parks will be less crowded for them lol. Pretty smart!

Each persons experiences differ. What one person experiences is different from another. Let’s be sure to respect one another’s experiences, not question or debate them.

Thank you.

I am all about respect, for sure.

But aren't some of these comments verging on contravening the explicit Disney rules about face coverings? I am honestly just trying to understand.

"We (The DIS) do not enable, condone or promote discussion of ways to circumvent established Disney company policies."

I agree. I personally think this thread has run its course. OP was told it was not allowed but seems to think if there are enough people who report getting away with it that is okay. No useful purpose can be served by reporting that other people were observed violating mask rules. News flash—same thing could be said of any rule breaking. I’ve seen non-hotel guests sneaking into pools at deluxe resorts—happens all the time too. Still not allowed. People lying about fake medical conditions to get DAS happens all the time too (just heard a report of this on another thread). Doesn’t make it okay.

There’s nothing wrong with people asking others to report their actual experiences at Disney. If that’s not allowed, there would be no reason for these boards to exist. People could just go to the official site and read what’s written there.

Are you serious? Can you really not see how actual live reports and experiences of whether or not a rule is being enforced would be useful to someone? Let's say someone on the fence about going and would not feel comfortable with ppl. eating in lines came on here and only heard from ppl. just restating the rule...they go to Disney assuming what they read on here was accurate and then are placed in a position they were not expecting because ppl. on here mislead them??? You don't think those ppl. might appreciate some honesty about how things are being handled in the park??? Please. No one on here said anything or asked about ways to break Disney's rules; they simply asked for experience and the reality of what's happening on the ground right now. Unfortunately there are some ppl. that just cannot have a conversation without inserting their opinion. The opinions are what is really useless. My, nor anyone elses opinion about how something should be makes any difference. We are not that important...we do not make or enforce any of it. The only power we have is to give our experience to let others know what to expect.

There’s a big difference between asking what’s actually going on at Disney and asking if/how someone can get around the rules.

Read the Here Now, Just Back Thread and you’ll gain a good understanding of what’s been happening. People have been reporting back for months what they’ve been experiencing. As @scrappinginontario said, reports vary. As I said, I’ve been going once a week. My reports on that thread vary too.

I’ve seen people being confronted by cm for not wearing masks properly. I’ve seen guests get nasty to cm for being confronted. I’ve seen security come to people. I’ve seen people walking while eating. I’ve heard guests confront other guests. I’ve seen Orange County Sheriff Dept with guests. I’ve had a whole myriad of experiences.

You have to go with realistic expectations. At some point you will be in a bottleneck, and you won’t be able to social distance. At some point you will encounter someone with a mask below their nose. As some point you will experience someone eating while walking or eating in line. These experiences aren’t the norm. Most guests adhere to the policy.

OP asked about policy. Policy has been stated over and over in this thread. Policy is wear a mask. Don’t eat and walk. Eat while stationary and away from the flow of traffic.

As I said above, please read Here Now, Just Back Thread. It’s 400+ pages of daily experiences.

I don't think (maybe hope) that people aren’t being kicked out for this... It has to be more related to their responses to the rules being enforced. I could be totally wrong though since I have limited experience to base that opinion on.

Cm give friendly reminders. Some hold signs of reminders, others give verbal reminders. There are signs at entrances and throughout the park and guide map.

I’m sure if it escalated to security or sheriff it was related to guest response.
