Help me understand my points!

Hi all! Please help me understand my add on points that we just acquired.

DH & I recently added on 50 points at AKV. We have had 200 points at SSR for about 9 years. We have an April use year for both. When our 11 booking window arrives can we use the total points for both resorts to book reservations? Or can we just use our 200 SSR for that resort and 50 AKV for that resort?

Another words, would it be possible to use all 250 points for an AKV reservation at the 11 month window? Are the points pooled into one pot?

At 11 months, you can only use points from the resort you are booking. You can combine them only at 7 months.

You can bank and borrow at 11 months from the resort you are booking. So your 50 AKV points could be 150 with banking and borrowing.

Makes sense when you think about it, otherwise everyone would buy 200 SSR resale points and 25 GFV direct points and then use them all @ GFV @ 11 months and those owners of smaller DVCs (like GF, WL, BC) would never get to book their home resorts because they'd be snapped up by 'blended' owners.
Contractually I believe DVC has guaranteed you home resort booking advantage, thus the 11 month window (or some window) must be limited to actual home resort points to give you what you contracted for.

That's also the reason why you can't buy one time use points until 7 months. It's not fair to give the home resort advantage to non-owned points.
