Have a 9 day stay late Jan-early Feb 2010. Will the 4/3 discount apply to ALL 9 days (i.e. 3/7ths off each of nine days), or just to 7 of the 9 days with the ramaining 2 days at regular rates? I'm having trouble getting my head around this....

If the 4/3 deal applies to only npart of the reservation, would it then be worth while to make 2 reservations - 2 days at AAA rate, and 7 days on the 4/3 package?

Just to make it a bit more funh, we will probably only use 6 or 7 days iof tickets, but that's a whole 'nother question.

Can anybody 'splain me?

I have a 10 day stay planned for the cabins Feb 1. What I did was booked a 7 day reservation on the buy 4 get 3 free this has seven days of tickets with it. You pay for 4 days of tickets and get 3 days free. My last 3 days I booked as a room only reservation at rack rate (full price) because I am waiting for an annual pass rate which I hope to be able to apply to those 3 days. I have 2 different reservations which I had linked so we will not have to change cabins. The only thing I have to do is go to the reservation desk on my last day of the package 4/3 deal and check out and check in for the 3 days room only.

Thanks, it's getting clearer, and I'm sorry to be so dense -

It sounds like you would have gotten the 3/7 discount for 7 nights and paid the full rate for days 8,9 & 10 if your whole 10 day stay was booked with the stay 7 get 3 free package code, but just to be sure I have it straight:

Would you have been charged the rack/full rate for the 3 (or in my case 2) additional days, or would the 4/3 rate have applied to ALL TEN DAYS if you had left it as a single ressie? I'm guessing not, since a 42.5% discount is more than you would get using just the AP code????

I'm just trying to figure out how Disney calculates the total bill on a 4/3 package of more than 7 but fewer than 14 days. From your decision, it sounds as if they in effect charge the full rate for days 1,2,3 & 4, then no charge for days 5,6 &7 - instead of discounting each day by 3/7ths = 42.5% discount; or put another way only give you the 42.5% discount on a full 7 day stay, with no discount for days 8 through 13. Whew! :faint:

I'm assuming, from your decision to put the additional days on a separate reservation/different discount, that you would have been charged the full rate on the additional days if you kept them tied to the 4/3 deal?????

You are right about the last 3 days on the separate room only reservation they are booked at the full rate. You are also right about about the 4/3 rate, you pay full rate for 4 days and get 3 days free. If you book, have the 4/3 rate first because your 7 day tickets will start on the first day and will not expire for 14 days after the first day of use. This way if you have days left after your 4/3 reservation you can use them on the room only rate stay.
I am hoping for a good AP rate to come out so I can get the last 3 room only at discount too. If you have AAA go ahead and book your 2 days with that.

I booked the 4/3 this past April for 10 days in a cabin, and I only had one reservation. I don't know how they did the finances, but I was looking for an overall target number and I hit it. It worked out to about 30% off overall vs. booking at rack rate for the 10 days.
