help me surprise my kids!

We are leaving for our first WDW trip ever in just a few days.

The kids (3 and 6) have absolutely no idea.

(although I was almost busted once because my dd heard me say something about "at disney" to my dh...she later asked me if we were going to Disneyland...and I simply replied "no, sweetie, Disneyland is in California and that is just too far away )

We live near DC and we are going on a road trip to visit friends and family in South Carolina and Florida...and that is all they know.

I don't know how to go about revealing it to them.
I don't want to tell them before the morning we go, because I know it would be torture for them to wait.

As we drive in, is there a big sign somewhere that would let them know where we are?
We will be staying with friends near Daytona until the morning of the 27th when we will be heading to CBR at 7am to check in before hitting MK.

I can't wait to see the look on their faces...
but I want to make sure I do it right so it's not anti-climactic.
I would prefer there to be a moment of epiphany, rather than them just picking it up from clues here and there.

oooooooo this is going to be so much fun!!

My friends did not tell their kids. When they drove up to the big sign that streches across the road they asked thier daughter "what does that sign say?" and she read it and that is how they found out. They too thought they were just going to Florida!

I agree...I would wait until that morning and either give them surprise tee shirts....or wait until you see the Walt disney World Sign...it's about 2 miles from the main road when you get off the disney exit, It stretches across the whole road and the kids won't miss it!!

I'll have to change them into the mickey & minnie shirts I bought once we get there.
