We will be going in less than a month and although I understand the reasoning behind all the issues and complaints people are having I myself could use a thread that is positive and shares the magic that most have experienced/liked about their Disney trips(both recent and old) so how about helping a lady out and reducing her anxiety level by posting about what you LOVE about Disney and/or any magical experiences you have had on your trips!

I will start with a few of mine

On my mother/daughter trip in 2008 I had made ADR for akershus so my DD could see the princesses(her fav has always been Ariel) she told Ariel she was her favorite and she was just giddy over seeing her(and mind you she was 17 on that day it was her Birthday) Ariel of course thanked her and wished her a Happy Birthday! That night when we returned to our POP room there on DD bed was a balloon bouquet along with an autographed picture of Ariel attached to a card saying Hope you have a Magical Birthday and it was a pleasure meeting you and she (DD) was her favorite Human.Best Birthday EVER she still tells me:)
We were at Main Street Bakery one morning and as we were standing in line to checkout the manager come up to us and told us to have a Magical Day and our check was taking care of pixiedust:

In 2010 I went with a group of friends(ages 42-68) and one night on the bus from MK after attending MVMCP back to POP the song YMCA came on and of course I had to start singing and doing the whole letter motions and to our delight everyone on the bus joined in both young and old that was such a great bus full of people after a long day and night :cool1:

These are just a few of my magical experiences I have encountered while at Disney.

Disney is my happy place and I go there all the time(unfortunately mostly in my mind or via these boards) but it is my escape and I am looking forward to hearing from others on this subject.

So come on and help spread some

I love that when I call customer service, I am greeted with, "How can I spread Pixie Dust to your day today?" and then they end the conversation with, "Hope you have a Magical Day!" Makes me giddy every-time!

Disney is what you make of it. I'm not too keen on the negativity (especially over you-know-what) I've seen creep into these boards, but I just avoid it when possible. There are always going to be people who get really, needlessly wound up over everything - the key is not letting it rub off on you.

Anyhow, there's so much I love about the place. I'm having trouble even figuring out where to start. I can tell you we'll be making a beeline to MK once we arrive, just so we can see the castle, eat lunch and browse the Emporium. After that it's nap time, and then over to Epcot to have dinner in Morocco and walk the World Showcase. To us, it's an absolutely perfect day. We get to be in Disney World, see the sights, smell the smells, hear all the wonderful sounds... Oh gosh, I can't wait to to hear the welcome announcements on the busses once we arrive at the parks! Even that's exciting! I think the only thing I dislike about Disney is the yuck they pass off as pizza. :rotfl:

You'll have a wonderful time. There's absolutely no reason to worry.

I was born the year Disneyland opened, and my wonderful father drove us halfway across the United States when I was two, to see the "Park Mr. Disney built for families"! I can still remember riding the boat into the whales mouth and seeing the 3 little pigs houses. My DH took me to WDW for our honeymoon when it was just MK, (camped at Fort Wilderness in the back of a Gremlin) and we have had magical trips ever since. Love that it keeps growing and changing but is still the best place in the world!

When I was 6, my family and I stayed at the Contemporary. This was back around 1976 or 1977. At that time Disney gave everybody a paper card that you could use to charge purchases to your room account. My sister, who was 8, and myself really wanted to go downstairs by ourselves to have breakfast and pay for it ourselves with our "credit" cards. After a little begging, our parents agreed and we got up early the next day and headed downstairs to the Grand Canyon concourse and went through the cafeteria style line that they had at the time. We each ended up spending around $6 to $7 dollars, which at the time was quite a bit.:rotfl2: I came to find out years later that our parents were watching us the whole time from above by the hotel room door, but I still remember how grown up and cool we both felt eating breakfast without the parents.:)
