Help me select flight time home

Hi! We are on Disney Wish disembarking 12/2. Flying domestically out of MCO.
If we roll our own luggage off, and hire a private car service to airport, what time do you recommend booking a flight home for ? Is. 11:40am flight cutting it too close?

DCL says noon. So you aren’t far off.

If you dock on time and your car is on time you should be fine. We had breakfast at 7:00, grabbed our luggage from the staging area, went to the garage and were at the airport (Navy Exchange) a little after 8:30.

I would say 1 pm at the earliest. Disney does a great job getting folks off the ship, MCO security, however, can be a nightmare. We were at MCO at 10:15 am, had our boarding pass and were in the TSA security line by 10:30 am. We literally went right from security and walked on our 12:35 pm as it was already boarding.

From the DCL website:

For the Port Canaveral to Port Canaveral sailings, we recommend the following flight-time guidelines:

• Latest arrival time to Orlando International Airport on Embarkation Day: 1:45 PM
• Earliest departure time from Orlando International Airport on Debarkation Day: 11:25 AM

You're absolutely fine with 11:40. I speak from experience, in addition to what DCL says.

We lingered during breakfast, were one of the later ones off and still would've made it there by 9:30 if we wanted to. Security at MCO is hit or miss. There was literally no line when we were there a few weeks ago. But you can't count on that, obviously.

If you have TSA precheck, you're fine. Otherwise, it could be tight depending on security. Get precheck or Global entry if you don't have it.
