We decided too late and are being told all onsite rooms taken. Boo hoo-de-hoo. Does anyone have any clever inside scoop on how to find that hidden treasure? Have tried all the online travel sites I could find, as well as USF online and by phone. Many thanks for any help.

I saw availability via http://www.kayak.com. It wasn't cheap, but there was availability at all 3 on-site hotels. You are able to select Loews Hotels, which limits your search. Good luck!

My advice would be to keep checking (often). Someone may cancel and a room become available. I would get on US/IOA website and check it several times a day. Good Luck:)

That is a super busy time for Florida - most New England schools are on break then. I would try a TA for that one.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We did find something today by booking through the vacation package phone number (1-888-343-3636). They seemed to have availability that the"room only" reservation line didn't have. All we had to do was purchase one ticket, which was added to the room rate, in order to qualify as a package. We needed one for a friend without an AP anyway. It was the earlybird ticket which is good for 7 days from 1st use and is a 2 park pass. All in all we were satisfied and learned a new trick to use when openings are hard to find.
