HELP Me Save our Trip

Send dad and the kids out to the park of their choice and you enjoy some quiet time alone in the hotel room recouperating and letting those antibiotics kick in. Do this for tomorrow only and then tomorrow night reaccess the situation. I'm betting that things will be brighter after you've had some rest and quiet and you and your family can make a plan for your remaining days tomorrow night. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!!

:thumbsup2

Dad can hack AK for a day & a day of rest will do you wonders. You'll feel better after the meds kick in :goodvibes

Sorry you're feeling so horrible.
If $ is no object you might want to contact http://www.kidsniteout.com/sitter_services.html

Don't know if they can do last minute requests but it doesn't hurt to try.
Even a half a day break would be nice for you where you and your hubby can rest and recover.

Hope you feel better soon!

100% agree with stay in bed for 1 day. It will make a lot of difference to get rest. I have used every thing possible to stop pain in my ear and throat, so I do know a little about what you are going through. (not with 3 kids however, and in a hotel room)

I take a combination of an antiacid (like Maalox) and Benedryl. I mix the two and gargle, believe me this helps, it coats the throat and the benedryl soothes. That with the Ibuprofen keeps me going.

You know I would have your husband talk with the front desk manager. They may have some suggestions that would be great that you have not thought of. They really helped us last time, my daughter became extremely ill after riding Rock n Roller Coaster 6 times in a row, and was in bed for 24 hours. They brought her chicken soup, etc. and did not charge us for anything, really tried to make our stay better.

Hope you get better soon. Nothing worse than to be sick away from home

Yes, send the kids with their awesomely-capable father for one day.

Take care of yourself. Don't forget to stay hydrated, as well. Get rest, sleep as much as you can, and drink lots of fluids. With the antibiotics on-board, you should be feeling a great improvement by Monday morning.

Sorry to hear your so sick and missing out on your plans
I know it is hard to see them go off for fun (and even though he is a SAHD a hands full for him) to head to AK without you I think that is the best plan.
He will cope, they kids will have fun, you will rest. AK has a great kids play area (the boneyard) and the Wilderness Explorers booklet was great fun and a good way to keep them all occupied.
Assuming you are not contagious it is amazing what 24 hours of antibiotics can do for you and you may be ready to carry on the day after.

Otherwise, do you have a car? You are at POP?

Mini Putt?

I'm not a doctor, but maybe the room AC is affecting you. I would try to find an outdoor space to rest and send DH to AK.

If you have a car, we really enjoyed Gatorland last trip. It is a small easy to manage zoo. Your hubby could handle it with the kids or once you are better if you are looking for something to do it is a good option!

Where are you staying?

Most resortd have activities during the day, especially pool side, and might have a firepit, movies under the stars, etc... So check out your
Resorts activities.

You could at least spend a day there so you can rest and they still have fun

Which resort are you in?

If it were me, I would see if we could get in on any of the special events, where a CM entertains the kids, and the parents are either not needed at all, or just there to watch. The Family Magic Tour. The Pirate cruises.

Just what I was thinking too. Your 2yo is too young for some of these things but you could send your other two children and that would give you a break. I also second the idea of getting a sitter one night for the kids or putting the older two in a Disney resort kids club for a break.

I'm sorry you are so sick! I have never been at WDW longer than 7 days so 10 would seem long to me too.

I also think a resort pool day is a great idea, nothing tires kids out more than swimming. Perhaps DH can take the kids to a movie at DTD? Or when we were there last week on the BW one night we saw a movie being shown on the beach at BC. Most Disney resorts have a playground the kids could run around on. I know the BWI has a clubhouse with activities too. I guess some choices depend on where you are staying.

Best wishes!:goodvibes
