Ok, I am going by a madeup name so my SO doesn't catch on. I need help...We're going and staying at a resort (anonymous!) for a few days then taking a 4 day cruise. The trip is pretty close but still some time away, but I need some ideas...

My sister came up with a good one for dinner. Send her to dinner first and have random people hand her a rose before I show up with the ring and a full bouquet.

Or there's always a beach, or the ship or something other.

I should add that we have the REAS booked, But I Need Help!!!

Thanks

Have you told the cruise line yet? Alot of times they will help you with ideas for something like that. Maybe you could do something involving the captain or even the cruise director. Maybe they could do it before one of the evening shows. Right before the show you could tell her you are going out to get some drinks and maybe they would let you come backstage. Then the cruise director & the captain (if available) could stand up on stage and say something and then ask a member of the audience (your fiancee) to come up there that she has won a surprise prize, just to be given away that evening. (Make sure you note the row & seat number she is in before you go backstage) Then you come out on stage & propose. Maybe you could do it before the Disney Dreams show and they could talk about dreams really coming true for someone very lucky in the audience. Good luck & what a "wonder"ful place to propose! :wizard:

Be sure to let us know how it goes when you get back & make sure they have a photographer available to capture the moment.

Aw..how romantic! I don't have any ideas for you, but I'm sure you will gain major points for a proposal on a cruiseship! (my hubby came up to me one day and said "hey, babe..let's get hitched"). If she says no, give me a call. (just kidding...just kidding)

do a search for engagement or proposal b/c a couple of months ago someone asked and they got a lot of good ideas. Also he came back and told all about it.

I remember one idea was when you first get there and about to get on board they announce your names. You could get them to Mr. and Mrs. XXXX. Then drop down on your knee and ask. This is of course if you want to do it quickly.

If I remember any more of them or find the thread I will let you know.

How romantic!!!! I wish my DH had put as much thought into proposing :flower:
How about arranging for a REAS, sneak back to the stateroom for a minute and leave the ring in the middle of the rose petals :lovestruc

Good Luck!!!! :cheer2:

Thank you all for the quick responses.

I will let the cruise line know and see what they say as far as allowing the captain to help in any capacity.

I have scoured the previous thread over the last month and found it very useful, but it's not exactly what I was looking for. I appologize for being so picky, but I am torn on whether to pop the question before the cruise (in WDW) or to try to obtain the help of the CM's on the ship.

We do have the REAS booked so the rose covered bed idea might just work out great!

Thanks for all the great tips and I will let everyone know how it goes.

Please feel free to add anymore especially for ideas on the cruise

How romantic! Why couldn't my husband do something sweet like that? Best of luck!

I didn't read the big long post, but I know that some of the sunrises and sunsets are absolutely beautiful. The sunrises were especially uncrowded and the sunsets were not too bad if you waited until after the first dining started and the first show. It could be really romantic to do it there and then head to Palos where people give her the roses. However, if it were me and people were handing be roses before you asked I would really wonder what was up.
