Skatermom...I'll kind of give you a breakdown for us of what it cost for my family of 5
We got 2 connecting Cat 8 staterooms so we had to pay full fare for 4 out of 5 of us. The cruise only cost (including fees and taxes) was $2514.70 for the 1st cabin and $3047.05 for the 2nd cabin for a total of $5561.75
We didnt have to airfare because we used FF miles.
We reserved a Limo to take us from POR to the port and then the port to MCO for a cost of $250.00 plus tip.
Tips for my family of 5 without paying anything extra are
Dining Server 25.75 x 5 = 128.75
Asst. Server 18.75 x 5 =93.75
Stateroom Host 25.25 x 5 = 126.25
Head Server 6.50 x 5 = 32.50
And then the Dining Manager and Room service are at your discretion. These tips total $381.25 for my family of 5.
Ports of call costs can be nothing or high depending on what you want to do. You dont even have to get off the ship if you don't want to or you can get off and spend hundreds of dollars it's up to you.
On board purchases...alcoholic drinks, soda (except at meals in the main dining rooms), trinkets, snacks, pictures, arcade, spa services..these are hard to pin down. If you don't want to spend an extra cent you dont have to or you can spend a lot if you like to drink or buy pictures or souveniers!
Of course all the meals are included unless you want to do Palo which costs at least $10.00 per adult if you don't want to tip above that.
I can't really think of anything else right now but that should give you some kind of idea. I think
DCL transfers are $49.00 per person round trip so for my family of 5 it was a little more to get a car service than to go DCL transfers not by much but we also get a limo, complimentary grocery stop and the flexibility of when we want to arrive at the port.
