Okay we leave on the 30th for our disney land/sea cruise.

We will be taking our double combi which will definately be needed at the airport and at Disney.

Now, once on the boat, would you rent the boat's stroller, or would you also bring a lightweight single stroller with you on the plane? (We will have grandparents with us, so they could bring on the single stroller) I know my 2yr old might need to be in the stroller while on the boat, but my 5 year old only needs it for places like disney

When docking for Atlantis, is there a lot of walking necessary while near the aquarium? Are there shops and lots of things to walk to? Or is it all done by bus/taxi?

Also, for Castaway Cay, is there a great need for a stroller? Or is it just the beach and nothing else to walk to?

Thanks so much :)

I would get a wagon on CC but you definitely will need a stroller for BOTH your 2 and 5 yo onboard. We last used strollers for both kids when they were 6 and 8. Both fell asleep around 4:30 and slept through the first hour of 6 pm dinner in strollers at the table. The ports usually have long piers that are easier and safer to navigate with little ones in strollers IMO. The kids were also less whinier when they were in the stroller...similar to Disney...due to all the walking and the heat [and we cruised in December]. We brought our Jeep stroller because it was the most comfy for our youngest and used a DCL stroller or an umbrella for our oldest. Comfy strollers make for happier kids IMO and that usually is not in an umbrella stroller from my experience.

a light stroller comes in very handy all over.
When the ship arrives in Nassau, if you are taking the ships excursion, then youll have to walk to the end of the pier, which is no big deal, then navigate thru the shops in the hall, then get ona minibus to Atlantis. Once there it is all walking for about an hour or so. I forget the length of time it takes. After the tour, your free to roam the property and gift shops etc.

Nassau itself has a lot of shops and things to see near the port. If youa re taking the 4 day cruise, then youll be in luck as the Wonder will be the only ship in Nassau, unless something has changed in the last year.

Thanks so much everyone! Sounds like the double (which folds up smaller than some singles) will be best for Nassau

What about Castaway Cay? How do you get to CC?

Where do you rent a wagon from? If its on the beach, then what will it be used for?

FYI - just remember that a double stroller will be more difficult to manuever in the cabin hallways.

More like nearly impossible....if there are any service carts in the hallway you will not be able to get past them. And a double wide will not fit in the mid-ship elevators. So go with the single while on the ship.

I believe the brand OP has is one has the seating behind, not next to each other and it is a compact style so the hallways won't be a problem. Elevators might be but remember that if you are going down and are on deck 8 or 9 get in an elevator going up or if you are on deck 3 and want to go up get in an elevator going down...it will go where you want it too after one or two more floors and it will probably be easier to get on one then. ;) That is one trick we have used to save some time.
