I am trying to find accomodations for a family of 2 adults 3 kids first trip to Disney and a tight budget.

looking to spend about $60 to 80 a night. i dont need fancy ammenities or the ritziest hotel. Just clean safe comfortable with a Fridge and Microwave.
i have looked at condo by owners but everyone seems to be to far from Disney or booked
Dates of travel are 2/2/08 til 2/9/08

On vrbo, check out Kissimmee/grand palms area.

Rates are very low for 2/3 bedroom condos.

We really liked Country Inn and Suites at Calypso Cay. The rates are around $89/night, free continental breakfast, fridge, microwave, great pools and free mini-golf. Don't remember if they had park transportation.

We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

You might consider the Villas as Seven Dwarfs Lane. I've read that other DISers were able to get a 3 bedroom townhouse for $499 for the week... that's just a little more than $70 per night. It is about a 10-12 minute drive to Epcot/MGM. MK is a little further.

Here's one that I located on a quick search:

Unless one of your kids is young enough to sleep in a crib, you won't be able to go with a standard hotel room in Florida. State law there regulates occupancy, you'll need at least a suite that has 2 beds plus a sleeper sofa. I think you might be hard pressed to find a hotel like that in the $60-$80 per night price range that is real close to WDW. You'll be more likely to find a condo/timeshare in the price range.

Good luck!

Check out tripadvisor.com and go to Orlando Florida hotels. They are listed in order of reviews. Most of the time the room rates are listed too.
If you find a motel you are interested in, google "review motel name" and see what else you can find.

The Orlando forums are informative. You can also ask for more info about the motel and people that have stayed at motel could answer.

Good luck searching.
