Help Me Please -- I'm desperate!

I'm having a minor meltdown today.... I have been on the phone for several hours with different parts of Disney Reservation, Dining, and Wedding events.

I'm basically trying to book the Cinderella's Royal Table Engagement Package for next month. I have left multiple messages on their voice mail (and even an email) and no response (just tried calling again this morning).

The most helpful person so far has been the main switchboard that attempted to call several people and get me someone to help but at the end she was told to transfer me to dining reservations. They didn't know what to do either.... I have called all of the following numbers:

1-407-824-4477 - CRT Special Occasions
1-407-W-DISNEY - Main Number
1-407-560-PASS - Annual Passholder Line
1-407-WDW-DINE - Dining Reservations
1-321-939-1100 - Disney Weddings

If there is any cast member reading this or anyone that can get me in touch with the write person please post or email me... I already booked my rooms and we have been Disney freaks for awhile now.... I would really hate to disappoint my future wife ...

I feel so frustrated...

P.S. I know I have one post only -- but I'm disguising my real screen name because my better half reads the boards daily.

Can someone try to put me in contact with the right person please?!

It's not something I have ever heard of so I'm afraid I can't help. Where did you hear about it? On these boards? If so, maybe you can find the thread where you read it and try asking there.

As far as I know, Disney has stopped assisting with engagements.
That still is not a reason for them not to return your phone calls.

Here is where I read about the package:

-- my postcount too low to post links sorry

But when I called that number I just get their message thanking me for calling and they are busy at the moment. To leave a name, number etc.

I thought they may have stopped doing it but when I called Disney Weddings to find out they had an option for "Marriage Proposals" on their machine which just transfered me to Disney Reservations.

I had some hope on that last thread (the most recent)... it says on one of the replies that they still do the engagement packages and sometimes it takes days for them to get back to me.

From what i got out of them is there really aren't any packages but CRT will help in some way. Hopefully you'll get a call back. Good Luck!

Doesn't CRT books months in advance? Perhaps there are no reservation times left to be had. August is going to be jam packed with people the booked packages that included free DDP. Good luck -- I hope it works out for you!

That's what I'm thinking. People have trouble getting these reservations 180 days out let alone next month! It can be hard to get anything for the next month during free dining.

Good Luck! but I'd start coming up with plan B

It is also Saturday and a Holiday weekend. The people who staff this office may be Mon-Friday workers.

YEs, this seems likely. Even the offices which are open weekends and holidays were slower this week due to the holiday (eg my experience with Concierge Itinerary Planning services).

Even if thy don't have an official engagement package any more, I'd bet someone will be able to make something happen. And, I'm sure your future wife will *not* be disappointed; she'll be thrilled getting asked, no matter how it turns out!

1) There is no longer an "engagement" package for CRT.
2) However, they do have engagement packages elsewhere.
3) They consists such things (for a big price) as
. . . flowers
. . . glass slippers
. . . characters
4) If you really want CRT
. . . first you need an ADR ressie (call 407-WDW-DINE), not easy to get
. . . then call CRT and ask what else they can do
. . . there are some items the restaurant can manage

If you can't get CRT, why not go ultra-grown-up and make an ADR for Victoria and Albert's at the Grand Floridian. You can pre-order the Cinderella Slipper dessert and talk to the staff about doing the engagement there. With this scenario, you'd have a truly formal setting in a fine dining establishment which would work to underscore how serious you are, yet also doing the Cinderella slipper dessert would show that you're fun loving and wanting to make her dreams come true.

Maybe my idea isn't quite your cup of tea, but I'm sure if you look around at all the possibilities, you will find one that will "fit just right" for you and your soon to be fiancee. :)

I saw this on a foodnetwork show. Oh my! What girl would not absolutely melt! Go for V & A!

If you can't get inside help you might try outside help. I used Gifts of a Lifetime for my dh's 40th birthday and it was fantastic. Google 'em. It's pricey but well worth it.

I am going to move this over to the Wedding board. The folks over there have much more experience with this question.
Good luck!

When did they stop? My fiance proposed to me in May at CRT and they helped him set it all up with taking pictures, the ring in a glass slipper, a toast, and a specialty engagment dessert.

No offense . . but you're WRONG. Where'd you get your information? I just booked (2/3 weeks ago) the "engagement package" thru Cinderella's Royal Table on my future son-in-laws behalf. My daughter :bride: is going to be so thrilled this Sept. The sweet manager at the CRT was SO unbelieveably helpful and accomodating. She's even going to let "mom and dad" catch a glimpse during the proposal moment. The price is VERY reasonable when you consider the magnitude of the occasion. I don't think $250 is exorbitant for a complete meal for two, engraved wine glasses, a photograph, preferred seating, special attention, gourmet dessert, etc. My princess is going to have the night of her life with her prince (he's going to present her with a tiara right after dinner . . before ring arrives . . and then take her on a horse and carriage ride).

Have you thought of using the pixies at Gifts of a Lifetime? They help plan very special events!

I think we have a difference in terms. Sometimes some of the restraunts will do something special for engagements/ birthdays/ etc. There are special packages most often to my knowledge booked through private dining (for private events) and central reservations for the restraunts.

There was at one time a special group that did items like Gifts of Lifetime and planned engagement surprises. To my knowledge this group does not exist anymore.

I agree that someone should have got back to the OP sooner. I would suggest you keep calling. Do not give up. Eelainea do you have a contact you can share with the OP?
