I need a hotel room for 4 (kids are 4 and 7) for 8/15/-8/17. I would prefer a good pool, breakfast included and under $50. Is that asking too much?! LOL I really don't want to do priceline. Here's a few I'm looking at, any feedback on them?

Howard Johnson Maingate East $34 (even though breakfast isn't included, expedia says- Insider tip: Children 12 and younger eat free at the pancake restaurant next door)

Quality Inn at International Drive $44.10 (All rooms offer refrigerators, microwaves; "Kids Eat Free" program)

Rodeway Inn International $45 (microwaves, refrigerators; Kids under 12 enjoy free breakfast buffets)

Masters Inn - Orlando Kissimmee $31.20 (free continental breakfast )

Ramada Inn Resort Maingate East $44.80 for Family Kids Suite (microwave, refrigerator; Kids 12 and younger eat breakfast and dinner free)

I'm really liking the last one. Is it a good place? We're not entirely sure what we'll be doing those two days, I have yet to plan our park days. We will be spending the rest of our stay at Courtyard Downtown Disney at the $20.03 rate.

Don't know that I can be of much use but we have stayed at a Ramada before and it may or may not be the same one.

Booked from the UK a few years ago and it was called "The Ramada Fountain Park" but I have seen it another brochure recently and the "Fountain Park" bit seems to have been dropped.

It was in Kissimmee on 192 and I would not stay there again. It was a little grubby and the bath/shower unit was cracked - not a very pleasant site.

As I said, it may not be the same place.

I don't think the Masters Inn is up to much either (I think it only has a 2 star rating in our brochures but I'm not certain). It is cheap and I imagine that you will get what you pay for.

Quality Inn always seems to have reasonable reviews.

Snugglebug,
We stayed at the Rodeway Inn International in 2000 and were very impressed.

The rooms were large and more importantly clean, the pool was a nice size and the staff were very helpful.

The breakfast buffet was huge and set you up nicely for a long day at the Theme Parks.

In terms of location it is situated in the busier part of International Drive, with hundreds of restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. It's also only 5mins drive to Universal Studios.

I guess the drive to Disney took about 15mins from the hotel, depending on the time of departure in the morning.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, and for that price it sounds a bargain. Virgin still have the hotel in their Florida brochure for 2004 by the way, so the quality and service must still be evident.

Whichever hotel you choose, have a great time.
