This will be my family's (triplet 7 year old's) first time to WDW including me and DH! We are staying 7 nights at AKL. I am trying to lightly schedule our trip so that we may make the most of it! We have already mads PS for the Hoop-Dee-Do Review and I hope to get us into Cinderella's breakfast.

Can anyone give me some tips on how we should divide our time and how much time we need for each park?

Thanks!! :earsgirl: :earsboy: princess: princess: princess:

wow triplets- I couldn't imagine... Anyway, I would plan on spending most of your time and MK, that's where the classic disney attractions are! People have mixed feeling about AK, but I think 7 year olds would enjoy it. I think one full day would cut it though. MGM has a lot of good shows, and EPCOT, to me, is more for adults. I found it boring as a kid, but a lot has changed since then! Have fun, I'm sure you will!!!

First of all, welcome to the Dis Boards!!!
Secondly, when is your trip? The way you plan your trip will definitely be affected by how the busy the parks will be, the weather etc. :)

2 days at MK
1 day at AK
1 day at MGM
1 or 2 days at Epcot

Chef Mickey's (Contemporary) is really fun if you can get into Cinderella's.

Are you early-risers and/or late nighters?? Whether or not you plan to take advantage of EMH will also depend on how you plan your days.

You picked the one time of year I've never been. LOL! I'm sure others can comment better but I'd say pretty busy but not insane. School not out yet but is Memorial Day that time this year?
Anyway, bottom line is you'll have long hours, nothing closed for seasonal refurbishment and the weather should be very warm.
I would build in some time to hang out at AKL for the activities there.
What are your kids into? Whether you spend 1 or 2 days at EPCOT depends on whether you'll hit the World Showcase or not. Some kids that age think its cool to "visit" the countries, others not so much. Either way, definitely spend some time at Future World. The kids will love it there.
My kids love AK - some will tell you its not a whole day park but IMHO, it is!
MGM may not take up a whole day if you're not doing the thrill rides like Tower of Terror or Rock-n-Roll Rollercoaster which are probably not great for 7 yr olds anyway (unless they're daredevils).
I know you don't want to schedule yourself to much but remember there are also water parks, Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach, if you're kids would be into that kind of thing.
We'll be at AKL in a couple weeks. So I can answer more specific questions about the resort when I'm back.
Happy Planning! :)

We will be there May 27 through June 5 and are waiting for the EMH schedule to be posted before we can finalize our schedule. We have always taken advantage of early entry and have done well in doing so. Something is to be said for getting a head start on the crowds. We go to the early entry park, take an afternoon break for rest/lunch/swimming, then finish the day with a different park depending on what show or event we wanted to catch that night. We always plan our PS around this schedule. We will have to see how the new EMH schedule affects us (as far as crowds go).

lux, welcome to the DIS.
You can go to this thread for helpful info like setting your coutdown counter!

Here is my recommendation for your trip:
Schedule in am & pm time frames. Take a break in the afternoon for swimming or relaxing back at the hotel. Allow for park hopping if you so desire.

2 Full days (2 ams & 2 pms) at MK so you see the parades & fireworks. I relly hope you get in to CRT. If not, you can got to PSB in EPCOT which is great too!!

1 day at MGM

1 day at AK

2 Full days at EPCOT (WS a day & a half and FW one day). Don't go in to your trip thinking EPCOT will be boring for your kids. Start talking it up now. Be positive. Have your kids learn how to say hello, goodbye and thank you in each countries language (see thread at the top of this board). Buy a passport to get stamped. Make sure they do the kidcot stations (decorating a mask, getting a charm in each country). Watch the little shows, listen to the great music & try the new foods.
Keep a day open to go back and hit your favorites one more time, or go back & hit something you missed.

Other things to do:
Fort Wilderness, go in the evening & eat at Trails End buffet (cheapest buffet!) & then go on the hayride, campfire sing-along with Chip & Dale & watch a movie (see the camping board for the list of movies at the beginning of May).
Downtown Disney
If weather permits, maybe hit a water park

Also, I'm sure you girls will love pin trading. Our family got really in to it! We bought a bunch of cheap pins to trade for princess pins (dd is 4 & is very in to princesses). It was so fun! Other kids who did not have pins looked sad whenever dd was trading with the CM's. eBay has lots of pins for sale. They go for over $6 at the park but you can get them on eBay for around $3.

Have an awesome time! Bring lots of film!
