Family of 5, 3 kids ages 9 (girl) and 2 boys 15 and 19. We're planning on going to dtd on a non park day and I've heard we just need a half day. I'm not sold that everyone would love disneyquest so I'm thinking splitsville and dinner with shopping before. Are there other activities/things to see?

We used to do DTD on our "off park days", every trip. We then realized that we really did not like taking a day off from the parks, and that we were spending a LOT more trying to do things at DTD than we would if we just added on an extra park day. After four or five days, it cost very little to add that other day.

If the boys are gamers, they may love DQ, but by that age, most kids are, or are not into that sort of thing. There is bowling and movies and while yes, they are a step up from typical....we do those things at home. There are other thinks like the balloon ride and shows.....they cost a lot. Shopping is fun here and my little guy still loves the lego store and the toy store, but again....much more money than adding on that extra day. RFC or Dino Cafe are fun places to eat with kids. If you have trouble getting a table...call directly. They are not WDW owed and you can book a table with them easier than with disney.

We did disney quest a few weeks ago. I have 3 sons-20,15, and 9. I had the water park and more option. That being said I wouldn't pay for dq. The older boys liked it didn't love it. We ate at Dtd and walked a lot. We also shopped. It is a good 1/2 day place. We went back on our last day to eat at trex.
