Hi there!

My, hubby, myself & just turned 8 year old daughter are from California and planning our first DW trip!!! Sooooo excited but overwhelmed with planning and all that this wonderful trip entails:)

Please help me plan our day at HS. We'll be there at rope drop on a "3" day in terms of crowds. My daughter is adventurous and is willing to see and do all that this park has to offer.

With this in mind, what should we do and in what order? I haven't yet booked our Fastpass+s yet (next month is when we're able to do so. Wanted to get your advice before doing so:))

I thank you SO SO SO very much!!!

Shannon

Hi Shannon! I'm a newbie on trip planning, so I'm just going to share an advice someone gave me on this forum:

Rope drop Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror, FP+ Toy Story Midway Mania. TSMM is getting long standby lines even at rope drop, so it's a good use of FP!

It would be nice to check out all the headliner attractions and entertainment with her, try to schedule them so you are not wasting too much time walking around in circles. Ask your daughter what she would like to do, and give each attraction a reasonable amount of time! And, if she needs it, a good break is One Man's Dream and, if she's into drawing, The Magic of Disney Animation seems super cool. Some people say it's boring or something like that, but research a bit! And it's a good place to a little breather from running around in attractions!

Aaaaand, if your daughter likes to meet characters, maybe looking into the character palooza!

The Magic of Disney Animation's building also has some character meeting!

Starring Rolls have the famous butterfinger cupcakes, and Writer's Stop has the carrot cake cookie! Nice snacks!

50's Prime Time Cafe seems to be lots of fun, and quite an experience!

That's what I gathered from my own research... I'm going on my first trip, so I'm sure other people here have more interesting advice, but I hope this helped somewhat!

Definitely FP+ for Toy Story Mania, also FP+ Tower of Terror. At rope drop head for Rock N Roller Coaster if she is 48 inches and wants to ride. If not, head for Toy Story Mania at rope drop so you can ride twice. Star Tours is also a must and possible FP+.

Lots of shows, so knowing what time you can do these shows is very helpful. My party has an 8 year old girl and this is my plan. Add, subtract, or change any of this.

Rope drop- Rock N Roller Coaster, 9:00 FP+- Tower of Terror, 10:05- Little Mermaid, 10:30- Disney Jr., 11:15- lunch at Hollywood and Vine, 12:30- Great Movie Ride, 1:10- Muppets 3D, 1:45- Indiana Jones, 2:20- Disney Animation, 3:00- Beauty and the Beast, 3:30 FP+- Star Tours, 4:30- LMA Stunt Show, 5:00 FP+- Toy Story Mania, 5:30- quick dinner, 6:15- get seats for 7:00 Fantasmic.

You can spread this out if your day is open past 7:00. Lots of meet and greets at Disney Animation and elsewhere, so make time for that if she likes that. Sci-Fi Diner and 50's Prime Time Cafe along with Hollywood and Vine are good places to eat. I over plan, so of course make sure she has fun.
