Help me plan my trip! Please!

we haven’t been back to Disney since March 2017, so I know lots has changed. Especially the new tricky genie +, which I still have to learn how to use properly. I booked a split stay for April 2-April 9. I also purchased the 6 day park with waterpark and genie+. I am however considering adding the park hopper if needed. We are 4 people. 2 adults, 2 kids (ages 10 & 12). We will be driving down from Georgia. So we will have our car and plan to use it to drive to certain parks and park there.
First stay is at the cabins at Ft. Wilderness from April 2-6. We plan to arrive early to take advantage of exploring the resort and pick up our golf cart we already reserved. Should we do a park that night? If so which one? Then we have Sun, Mon, Tue to plan. I need help with which park on which day.
on Wednesday the 6th we will check out early and transfer over to AKL. I’m thinking of going to a park that day until our room is ready at least, is that a good idea? Then I need help with Thu and Fri. We check out Saturday but would like to also get a park in that day too. We will then either drive home or stay at an offsite hotel.
So, I essentially need help with which day to go to which park. Important to us are to hit lots of rides and avoid awful long lines. My kids are older and don’t care for characters too much anymore other than Star Wars. We all are huge Star Wars fans and really want to focus on that area. We also haven’t seen the new Pandora area at AK and look forward to that as well. However we want to see each park at least once. We also want to do a waterpark. Which one is best? And possibly the mini golf. Being able to hang out at the resorts and explore Is also a priority. I would love a resort day or at least get a mid-day break here and there. I know this is a lot, but any advice and help is appreciated before I make reservations for the parks. Thanks all!

I was in your shoes about 7 years ago, but I had never been to Disney! I actually read as much as I could from WDW Prep School. While yes, she is a travel agent, you don't HAVE to book through her. I found her information to be extremely helpful. Whenever I would ask anyone what to do I would get a lot of "You have to....", and most of their recommendations were based on what they liked.

I've learned a lot over the past 6 trips. But for us here were the key items:

• We love a sit down lunch. We get up, rope drop and by lunch, seriously, I just want someone to bring me food.
• We are only there for a long weekend. 4 park days, so no water parks for us. One day 3 we usually take an afternoon break at the pool, our son swims, and then we head back out.
• Because we have been there, we have our favorite and not so favorite rides, sorry Peter Pan, I won't be sad if I never go on that ride again.
• We LOVE the parks at night, usually slightly less crowded and the rides all lit up are magical.
• We never watch fire works. I know, some people will say it is a must do. Maybe it is high on your list of items.

On April 6th I would suggest doing Deluxe Evening Hours at MK. Then depending on your family sleep dynamic plan not doing an early morning on Thursday. Maybe Epcot since that opens later or the water park. I would also avoid Epcot on the weekend with Flower and garden happening. Probably also recommend Genie + for at least HS.

Lot of things for you to do, all in a short time.

cool thing is , you are at camp wilderness, from there you can take water transportation any where around the lake, all the resorts are worth while to visit, and things to see. Go to and from, magic kingdom any time.
The cool thing is that golf cart, hint, for a enjoyable time, take a ride at night, all though the camp, and near the lake, very peaceful, the campers dimly lit lights and camp fires , are pleasant to see.
As far as crowds, usually not good, but hope for the best.
I never get park hoppers any more, looking for something else to do,
go to
Disney’s studio and take a water taxi to broad walk and all around, stop by peaches an cream.
go to River side take the water taxi to down town Disney, for a lot of things to see and do,
on the way , stop by port of Orleans and grab a Cajun fried chicken.

all more enjoyable at night.
