We have gone several times with the kids, but are sneaking away just the two of us for our anniversary the end of May.

What are the things couples should definitely do? We'll be there just 3 days, Saturday-Tuesday.

Thanks for your ideas!

How about an evening at Pleasure Island? A nice dinner at Victoria & Alberts or California Grill (maybe during the fireworks). The monorail cocktail hour - having a drink at each of the monorail resorts. Sitting in the MK while it's closing watching the castle change colors. There's so many options!

jellyrolls, piano bar at boardwalk.

behind the scenes tours.

CA Grille for foreworks.

Fireworks cruise.

skip meals, you know why? Because you can!

Sleep in! Stay out late.

Dh and I have been to WDW twice without the kids.

Once, we had a nice dinner at CA Grill at sunset, then we took the monorail to GF and had dessert at Narcoossee's (sp?). The Electric Water Pageant began just as our dessert arrived.

We've also gone to PI and stayed for the NYE celebration that they have every night.

Lunch in the castle is also nice. It's such a relaxing way to get away from the crowds for a bit.

Have a great time!

Two words for you... ADVENTURER'S CLUB! It is so much fun , while its not that romantic, you two will definitly have a great time! We are celebrating our first anniversary this October in WDW and definitly are planning a few nights there!

Another big Thumbs Up for the Adventurers' Club !! If you enjoy comedy-style clubs, this is a don't miss. It's not like any other comedy club you've ever visited, guaranteed!!

JKMastalski, maybe we'll see you there this October!! You'll know who we are ; we'll be the ones accompanied by a crazy blind lady (and I DO mean crazy . . . ) !!!
:teeth:

KUNGALOOSH!!

Thanks, everyone! These are all fantastic ideas!

The Adventurer's Club is a hoot, huh? We almost went there once, but go hooked listening to the old 80's music at that other place in PI.

What is the monorail happy hour. Is that something you just do on your own I'm assuming? It sounds like a blast!

Sleep late? That was a given!!!!:D

What time do I make PS for if I want to eat at CG for the fireworks? Am I maybe a little too late for that? The trip is May 31-June3.

Thanks, everyone! PLEASE! Keep the ideas coming! I love to hear what you all do when you are there experiencing the total joy and freedom that only parents of young children can understand! :D ;) :p :D

My honey and I both enjoyed the carriage ride we took at FW, but I think they do them over at the BW too. You can reserve one 60 days in advance over at FW, but I don't think the other one's can be reserved.

Another idea would be a fireworks cruise. I want to do this, but it's on the list for a future vacation since our December trip has lots of other entertainment factored into it already.

Check out La Nouba! I was really surprised at how much we both enjoyed it. It's simply amazing.

Have a great trip. Mickey

Oh how I envy you!

When I'm having grown-up time, I go to World Showcase about 4 or 5 pm and listen to all the live music while I sample all the wines before dinner! There is so much "free" entertainment there. You'll love it!

Yep, it's just something you do on your own. (I've never actually done it, but we're planning to on our next trip). Each of the 3 monorail resorts has a lounge where you can get a drink... or drinks :D if you choose. The only one I've actually been to so far is the Outer Rim Lounge at the Contemporary.
If you do a search on the boards, you should be able to find a bit more info.

HTH,
Lori

How about having dinner at a nicer restaurant at Epcot. Try Le Cellier if you like steak. Or be more daring and try the restaurant at Morrocco or in Japan. Make a PS that will leave you with enough time to catch Illminations.

I'll also put my two cents in for Cirque and the Adventurer's Club.

Watching the fireworks from the beach at the Polynesian can also be romantic.
