OK I need one more TS. I have a couple different scenarios and need a back up. There will be myself, dh, DS7 ds3.5 and dd2. It can either be signature or regular but a ddp resturant. Also it can be at a hotel or park. We are already going to CP, sci fi, tusker house, le cellier for lunch and possible our hotel maya grill on our first night since we are just going to relax when we get to disney. Please tell me your favourites. Also it needs to have something sorta plain on the menu or be able to order plan as my husband isnt very adventures. Also we are staying at coronado springs and will be doing disney transportation. We don't have anything planned that day so anywhere is open to go.

A few of my favs to take kids are Ohana, Biergarten, Teppan Edo, or if you can swing 2TS credits, HDDR.:thumbsup2

I'd vote for Garden Grille or Akershus. I don't think their meals were too out of the ordinary and it's more characters for the kids. Biergarten is fun too.

I should add, no princess meals as my 7 year old is very anti princess right now.:):)

Beirgarten is a good option, buffet style, lots of food choices, BIG beers :) and a fun atmosphere.

Only caveat is they will sit you at a large table with another family, but we go ever year on our first night to the Beirgarten and love it.

Biergarten. The food is good and the kiddos love to dance on the dance floor. It's great fun.

we love O'hana breakfast with Lilo & Stitch. We are trying Coral Reef this year.

I LOVE Teppen Edo. My then almost 3 yr old loved it too because of the little show the chef puts on.

For food...I LOVE 'Ohana for dinner. 'Ohana for breakfast was really nice too....with the characters and it was served family style, which is always nice to have them bring you the food.

Here are some of our favorites:

1) Whispering Canyon Cafe: Good, "regular" food. From what you say he may love the skillet if he is into barbeque.

2) Teppan Edo: While it sounds adventurous it really isn't. Steak, chicken, or shrimp with udon noodles, rice, and veggies. Plus you'll get the really cool experience of a hibachi grill! Your kids will love the onion volcanoe!

3) 50's Prime Time Cafe: Basic, mom and pop style cooking along with the fun antics. Who doesn't love meatloaf or fried chicken?! :thumbsup2

Hope this helps a bit. If nothing else, check out the menus on allears or here on the DIS. This always helps me in making decisions.
