Help me pick Sat. or Sun.

We will be at DLR Sept. 12-15th with full days available on Fri, Sat and Sun and most of the day on Monday. We have 3 day parkhoppers and my DH is insisting on a pool/rest day.

I had planned on parks Fri, Sunday and Monday with a break on Sat. but am second guessing myself. Recent reports suggest that Sat is a less busy day than Sundays. Plus, both Southern California and Southern California Select annual passes are blocked on Sat. but only the less expensive one is blocked on Sunday.

Another factor is early entry. If we skip Sat. all of the early entry days will be for DCA.

Does anyone want to throw in their proverbial 2 cents?

I'm assuming he won't go for Fri/Sat/Sun in the park (use all three full days)? If not, I'd do Fri/Sat/Mon in the park and use Sun as my down day.

I would do Fri, Sat, and Monday, regardless of the blocked APs. You will have the most energy the first few days. After two days at the parks exploring, you can rest your feet and have a "greatest hits" day monday. It also allows you more time to talk your husband into upgrading to a 4 day pass if you feel like you arent going to have time to do everything you wanted to do.

I think I'll try this. Maybe I can convince him after a nice relaxing Sun. morning that spending a whole day right there in the middle of everything and not going into the parks is full on crazy?

It's not the cost that gets him, it's that he thinks I "run him ragged". It's Disneyland, how much rest can he possibly need?

I would also probably recommend Fri, Sat, and Mon, but note that Friday (9/12) is the start of HalloweenTime, so some uptick in crowds are expected that weekend as folks come out to see the seasonal overlays. Monday is likely to have short hours (based on last year: 10 am - 8 pm) compared to the weekends (based on last year: 9 am - 10 pm). Evening entertainment (e.g., fireworks, Fantasmic, and Mad T Party) will likely be only offered on Fri, Sat, and Sun.
