I need to pick one character meal for our gang. Yet I can not decide considering the wide range of ages! Please help! :worship:

Here is our gang:
2yo boy, 5yo girl, 8yo boy, 18yo young man, 20yo young woman and the adults are 24, 30 and well, nevermind me and my DH's ages. :rotfl:

If you had to pick just one character meal for our gang, which one would YOU pick??

Chef Mickey's for dinner! It's a classic IMO, the setting is neat (you can watch the Monorail whizz by while you dine) and there are food choices that will suit just about everyone! Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Chip and Dale all were at our meal.

If you want to stay in a park, we also enjoyed Crystal Palace in MK, but the characters are Pooh and Friends, so they might not hold as much appeal to the 20something crew. It is a beautiful building, and the food is great (DH did get sick from eating some salmon dish- we avoid buffet seafood now $.02 ;)).

I agree with Chef Mickey's. We had great character interaction with our kids and DH and I loved the magic in their eyes. Otherwise, can't help you out cuz the only other character meal we went to doesn't exist anymore...

How about 1900 Park Fare? It's in the GF. The food is pretty good. The character interaction is excellent. They have Pooh & Friends, Mary Poppins, Alice, and the Mad Hatter.
We went for breakfast one morning, just as they opened (about 8 AM) and it was quite uncrowded, no wait, and the characters stopped by our table several times. It was a great time!
Chef Mickey's is fun too. We had a longer wait, it is very noisy and the food wasn't as good as 1900 Park fare. But we still had alot of fun.

Although I may be in the minority here, my family really didn't care for the food at Chef Mickey's for dinner, the best part about it was the desert bar. I have only eaten at Crystal Palace for breakfast, the food was really good but it was really crowded and the lines for the food bars were very long. I would have liked to try a few more things but I really didn't want to spend more time standing in the line for it. I suggest Liberty Tree Tavern..... it is located at the Mk, they serve a more traditional family thanksgiving type fare....salad with rolls started off, then ham, turkey, steak, and the sides were mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, carrots and for desert a fab warm apple crisp served with vanilla bean ice cream, the deserts do change seasonally. The most fab part about this meal is that it is served family style, meaning that everything is brought to your table. The only time you will have to get up is to go to the restroom. The Character interaction was great here too. All the characters came at least twice and some of them three times. The characters we had that night were Minnie, Chip and Dale, Goofy and Pluto. I hope you find this info helpful. And I might also add that when I asked my family which restaurants we would eat at on the next trip Liberty Tree was the only repeat performance.

Definately Chef Mickey's!! Crystal Palace has only Pooh Characters...and 1900 Park Fare is really Cinderella, Prince, and Mice. Chef Mickey's has all your traditional characters and is a great way to start off any vacation!!

I was just looking at dd's scrap book. Not that characters are guarenteed, but ... 1900 park fare breakfast - we saw - Cinderella, Eyore, Mary Poppins, Alice, THe Mad Hatter, and Pooh. Kind of an everything meal lol.

We loved Chef Mickeys and noticed a lot of families with people of all ages in their groups who were having a ball. The characters were so funny - Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale, Donald Duck - we had a great time and the atmosphere is electric. The food isn't anything amazing although the desserts were lovely!

Chef Mickey"s Bfast for sure!

We took a large group (22) and had a BLAST!! The other places are a little more reserved, CM is a sing and wave your napkin in the air kind of place! Who doesnt want to see Mickey and Minnie?

Plus we just ate there for bfast last Thur. and it was really good.

Have not tried dinner yet, but we will!

I will throw my hat in for Chef Mickey's for breakfast. Breakfast works best for my family...the boys are 3-1/2 and 1-1/2.

Chef Mickey' has become a tradition for us. We love it. We also eat at Liberty Tree Tavern whenever we go for Thanksgiving as it is a special atmosphere for the occasion.

Another vote for Chef Mickey's!! It's the first place my grandkids always want to make sure we are going too!! We have did all of them and this is their favorite!! Mine too!!

Crystal Palace for breakfast
As you can see my family had a great time. They really loved the food. Go first thing in the morning when it opens. We had no lines great food and got some amazing pictures of MK without people in them
