DH and I will be celebrating 10 years of wedded bliss :lmao: in May. We Disneymooned back in 2000 and will be back in The World for this grand occasion. The ILs are travelling with us, so we can have a kid-free night to dinner on our Anniversary. We RARELY get to go out alone anymore (kids are 2, 6, 8) so we want to have fun! We had an ADR for Citrico's but i cancelled it because DH thought it was too fancy (from the menu). So, we are more casual people but like good food!

My list right now is Kona Cafe, Shula's or Raglan Road.
I like the atmosphere of the Poly, and it is on the Monorail...so we could go to Epcot's EMH after dinner.

We went to Shula's on our honeymoon and DH is a big steak fan. We are already eating at LeCellier and Yachtsman, though...so not sure if we could keep this.

Raglan Road is on the list because DH is a stout fan. Also, going to DTD is something we have not done since our honeymoon...10 years older...are we too old for DTD? We rarely go out to pubs for dinner/drinks since we have young kids.

So...where would you go? Is there a better choice? We are not into exotic foods...just yummy, good meals and fun times!

Thanks!

Have you considered Rose&Crown in the England pavilion of Epcot? It is an english style pub/dining room on the inside and has a great patio outside. The food is not exotic but very delicious! It's nice and casual. You could time it so you can watch illuminations while you dine.

Where ever you decide have a great time and a wonderful anniversary!:)

I couldn't tell if you've been there before by your post- Kona is one of my favorites but there is 0 ambience. It's open to the Poly lobby and is a little like eating fantastic food at an airport or maybe a food court at the mall. DH and I don't care about that kind of thing but if you do, it's not the place to go!

Yes, we have been there before! DH said "I don't remember it" so I wonder if he didn't like it?

Thanks for the suggestion. We've never eaten there. Will look at the menu now..

Adding to my list? Tutto Italia? Worth it?

Loved Tutto. Full review in my signature with photos. Top 5 meal for us in WDW easily.

I'd also suggest the Grand Floridian Cafe - also on the monorail, not nearly as stuffy or fancy as Citrico's or Narcoossee's, but very nice and rarely very crowded.

I'd be considering:

Narcoossee's
Citrico's
California Grill

Maybe Bistro de Paris (or Les Chefs de France)

Bistro might be a little too over the top. I would recommend the above options though. I know for sure you can get steak at both Narcoossee's and California Grill (if that's what your hubby wants).

Let me tell you something about the signatures places...for many years DH was scared off from them because he thought the food was too "fancy foo foo" for him but I finally convinced him to give them a whirl and he LOVES them and realizes it is just regular food with a swanky name and a larger price tag!

On our last trip he told me that from now on he wants signature dinners only because the food is so much better than regular TS for just a few dollars more.

We have been to Citrico's for our anniversary this year (click on Nov 09 link for a full review and tons of pictures) and the food and atmosphere are fantastic and very much normal....Cali Grill is fantastic too but feels fancier than Citrico's. Flying Fish is to die for and not as fancy feel, alot louder than the other two places. BlueZoo is a bit fancier and broader menu and we love it there, the best filet I ever had. Il Mulino is amazing and relaxing and not too fancy at all.

We have eaten at the Yachtsman and will again this trip...so we know there are some Signatures that are not as stuffy as others. We had Victoria and Albert's on our honeymoon and really did not like the food <<Ducking>> It was too exotic and we were hungry when we left. So, I think THAT is what he is afraid of. We may very well try Il Mulino because there is no Italian food on our list!

I would suggest Narcoossee's.

The food is wonderful. I am a meat and potatoes kind of guy, and I had a wonderful Filet there.

Ask for a table along the window and you should have a nice view of the castle. And depending on the time...possibly a good view of Wishes as well.

I dressed very casually. I went in nice jeans and a polo type shirt and didn't feel out of place at all.

That is why we will never try V&A...the food kinda scares us away lol. The reviews always sound amazing but the food is not something that I would like, such as caviar (terrifying to me), quail, salmon, duck, etc....

Oh Il Mulino was to die for...the service, the food...all of it was wonderful!
