Help me pick a water park!

I've been to River Country, but never to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, and I plan to go to one of them during my upcoming (end of April) trip to WDW.

There are just two of us, young adults, no children. Now here's the twist: I separated my tailbone (rollerblading) back in November, and it's just as bad or worse now than it was when I first hurt it, so I don't think it's going to be back in mint condition in a couple months. So, keeping in mind that really bumpy/intense slides are not an option for me, which park is better?

Also... if you don't surf, what do you do in the wave pool at TL? Hang out/swim around?

well for the bumpyness you cant handle with your back (sorry to hear) i would say TL. And yes you hang around in the wave pool. River Country is gone i do believe. One of those closed until further notice deals. Like CoP it just kind of faded away... :( poor RC. But TL would be my pick for your situation.

I'd have to agree as far as the bumpiness, but BB is a much more awesome water park. You would probably have to lay off the tube rides, though!

I will be the 3rd vote for TL. BB is a much more extreme park. Lots more slides and action. But with a sore tailbone I'd up for TL. You can hit the snorkling area were you can see fish and nurs sharks, the lazy river and the wave pool. Hope you get back to 100% soon.

By the way. With a sore tailbone you will probably want to stay away from some to the more bumpier rides at the parks. Watch out for the rock in roll roller coaster, the safari ride, big thunder mountain railroad, etc.

Another vote for Typhoon Lagoon.

Blizzard Beach is definatly (sp) an awesome park, and has a lot of great rides, so it's such a shame you won't be able to experience them in your condition -- perhaps when your back is better??

Never mind though, Typhoon Lagoon is a lovely water park, which does have tamer things to do there.
Especially Castaway Creek.

Another vote for Typhoon Lagoon with a warning. The wave pool is great, but be careful in the surf waves while those are running. They're strong enough to toss people around a bit. The regular waves shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks guys... TL it is. I think I can deal with some slides... just nothing that's going to make me bounce or land hard on my bottom. I hear the lazy river is best at TL, and between that, the wave pool, and the snorkling, I'm sure I'll enjoy it!

TYPHOON LAGOON, our favorite!

I agree that TL is the best for your situation. I have to also agree that the wave pool at TL can be very scary. I was in it up to my knees and the waves dragged me to the ground - be careful.

I'm excited about the wave pool, as it sounds a little more intense than most. I'm a very strong swimmer... I was a lifeguard and competitive swimmer not too many years ago.
