Help me pick a resort. I am hoping to go down with family of 4 in late 2009. DD's will be 8 and 1 1/2. Looking for quiet pools, so value resorts are out. We usually rent a car. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

CSR is a great mod choice. Great pool, 3 quiet pools, awesome transportation and good food options. Check out my CSR website below for pics and info.

All of the mods except for POFQ have quiet pools. They all have there advantages and disadvantages, so pick one with the theme and the location that appeals to you the most. :)

Not sure what your budget is or which park(s) you plan on being at the most, but with a 1 1/2 year old, the monorail and/or boat transportation would be the most convenient to MK (if that's where you'll be spending lots of time). With that said, my suggestion would be the Poly for the ease of the monorail (also have a choice of the boat)....plus there's the beach to sit and watch the fireworks if you choose not to fight the crowds that time of night at the MK :thumbsup2. The volcano pool is awesome, but there is also a quiet pool if the main pool gets too loud/congested. My other suggestion would be the WL, a beautiful deluxe resort without the deluxe price tag :cutie:, but still convenient boat service to the MK ::yes::. The geyser is also cool for the kids to watch.....and the pool is awesome here, too :yay:. The Poly and WL are our 2 favorite resorts :).

Have you thought of staying at the WL or the AKL? They arent as expensive at the other deluxes but have great pools and better transportation then the mods.

I love CSR for the atmosphere, great CM's and the deluxe-lite feel. CSR offers a spa, salon, full menu room service and fitness center not to mention a terrific main pool area and the best transportation that is not shared with any other resort.

I'm planning to travel to WDW (first time ever) in 2010. I'm leaning more and more towards CSR. There will be me, DH, DD (Almost 4 at the time of travel) and possibly my DS (19 at travel time). I want a room not to far away from main building, but far enough away to avoid noise, but then not to far away from the pool, restaurant etc. Is it possible to see the fireworks (illuminations?) from this resort? and if so, how good is the view or should we go to MK to watch?

I would recommend Port Orleans Riverside. It is a beautiful resort with lots of quiet pools and a great main pool as well. The grounds are gorgeous and we never had problems with transportation, though since you will have a car, you might as well do that. I don't think you would be disappointed and the price is a lot lower than WL or any other deluxes. Good luck!:)

You can see one set of fireworks at the CSR...not sure if they are Epcot or the Studios (I know it is not the Magic Kingdom). You would be better off going to the park to truly enjoy them.

If we are going in September 2010, when is the earliest I can make reservations?
