Help Me Pick A Location at POR

We switched our ressies from the Poly to 2 rooms at POR with the Disney Visa Discount and are saving $631.00

Since we've never stayed at POR, can someone recommend a convenient location in the Mansion section? How far is the general store from the Mansion section?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

im staying at POR too this sept, 2 rooms (party of 4) for 14 nights, and would be interested in this. How exactly do you request a specific area/room?

Although we not big fans of the Mansions side ( to us,those buildings are like a maze when trying to find a room.LOL) . We really like Parterre Place close to the bridge - which goes right across to the main building.

It's the last building so has more light and nice river views. Also has a very pretty courtyard with fountain.

Lots of DISers love the Mansions,so am sure you will both gets lots of good suggestions

POR is a pretty small resort so anywhere you stay is close. The grounds are stunning! You'll have a great time! Relax and enjoy!

I think you are meaning POFQ is pretty small, POR is really spread out, it is one of the largest moderates that Disney has . When we stayed there in June we stayed at AB bldg #14. We had a 1st floor room with a waterview. We were right next to the foodcourt and main building. We had a very short walk to the marina and the main busstop. Ole man Island was right across the bridge, but there was a quiet pool right around the corner from our room. It was awesome and I highly recommend staying at this building.
