OK I need your best suggestions for room request for the north garden wing. I was thinking 3rd floor lagoon view closest to the Tower. Then someone suggested ground floor near the playground. Should I request a room or should I jsut leave it to chance. It really doesn't look like there are any bad rooms except maybe ground floor facing the parking lot.

Actually....Ground floor facing the parking lot looked pretty good to me when walking by there last week. I saw a guy out on his patio reading the paper while his kids played in the grass area next to the patio.

Our room was on the second floor, next to the playground and we could look directly past the playground to the pool and the lagoon was to the left. If you went in the front door of the north wing entrance there is a hallway to the left leading away from the tower....a hallway to the right leading towards the tower....and a hallway straight ahead leading towards the outer wing. The left side of this hallway has a lake view, the right side has a playground/pool/lagoon view, (we were on the right, second floor, rooms 7219, 7220, 7221 & 7222). We thought our location was wonderful....Not a LONG walk, quiet, convenient to Tower & pool area.

If you aren't real picky, maybe ask for a room closer to the tower and let the chips fall where they may.

All I did was ask that it be close to the Tower because those wings are pretty long!

We got our wish. We were on the second floor less than half way down facing MK (parking Lot). It didn't bother us because we could see the fireworks at night.

Check your reservation, b/c last summer there was a different rate for lake view compared to parking lot view. I believe our was called standard view and it was the lot. I think the other rooms are called garden view. As for how it was, I really liked the view we had. We were almost at the end of the wing on the first floor. We could sit on our patio and watch the monorails right in front of us. We could not see the fireworks directly from our patio, but we could take our chairs about ten feet into the grass and see them. It was a decent walk to the main tower, but it was the shortest walk to the MK, which helped us. We also went through the parking lot to cut the walk to the tower down.

Sha, were you relocated to the CR from Shades of Green? I'm under the impression that the only people staying in the North Wing now are from SOG.

That said, it would be nice to get a room as close to the main building as possible. In the North Wing, you'll be quite close to the food court, arcade (which is excellent!), and bus stops regardless of which room you get.

If you have a standard view, I would ask for a room on the third floor. You'll still see the parking lot, but you'll catch some interesting views of other stuff (monorail and MK) with it.

Also, don't miss the chili cheese dog from their food court. Very yummy!

I heard that SOG people were in the South wing... Anyone know for sure?

UKCATFAN - the Shades of Green web site says they are putting their guests in the North Garden Wing. Somewhere I also saw the specific rooms they were using but now I can't find it!
I asked for a standard room, but one not facing the parking lot, and the CRO said the garden view rooms were standard. I sure hope that's true! The rooms on the first floor facing Bay Lake were preferred rooms ($10 extra), and they have a patio.
In any case, who cares! Deluxe resort rooms at bargain prices. Whoopee!!

I may be a little biased considering that is my favorite resort (over twenty visits starting when I was just a baby), but I do not think there is a bad room there.

Yes we are staying through SoG.

I also believe Suflay1 is correct. Only the ground floor water view rooms are extra.
