I can't get a 1 BR at Vero for our trip after WDW. We haven't been to VB yet, it would be our first. Would a deluxe inn room give enough room for 5 nights for hubby, myself and our 13 yr old son?

The Inn rooms are a very typical hotel room. If you'll all be happy in a hotel room than you'll be fine.
We even had a room with a king bed and a sofa bed. That room had more space than a typical room. It was located in the front corner of the main section of the Inn.

We had a deluxe inn room-oceanfront. It was like a very large hotel room with a kitchenette. Plenty of room for 3, you just don't have the privacy of the separate bedroom.

Love the VB ocean view Inn rooms. While it is always optimal to have a second bedroom with a teenager, the Inn rooms are very nice and some of them very large.

If there isn't another choice yes you can make due with the inn room but jmho for 5 nights 1 BR probably really is best way to go; after two or three nights probably feel like inn room is closing in on 3 of you (pardon the awful pun ). Maybe waitlist for 1 BR in meanwhile.

We spent a couple of nights in an oceanfront Inn room a few years ago. I thought it was pretty nice. We sandwiched it in between a two night stay in a DTD hotel and a DVC stay at WDW.

I think we had two queen beds.
