Okay.
So, I turned 16 today.
Yeahhhh!
Well...
My parents took me around today to pick out car and I narrowed my search down to three choices and I would like to know which one you guys think would be the best for a "scared to drive" teen.

Choice #1- A 2003 Chevy Cavalier. This one is bright blue and has no sun roof.

Choice #2- A 2003 Chevy Cavalier. This one is silver, has a sun roof, is in a bit better shape than the blue one, and is about the same price.

Choice #3- A 2003 Ford Escape. This one is light blue, very cute, but probably uses a bit more gas.

So...
What do you guys think?

I would pick #2 simply for the sunroof!

But in all seriousness now, both have pros & cons. The Escape is an SUV, a small one, but still an SUV. I drive a small SUV (Toyota Rav4 to be exact) and I love being higher up. I feel safer and more secure when I'm on highways and I'm driving along side of 18-wheelers. But the negative: SUVs tend to roll over easier if you make sharp turns, so you have to be wary of that. If you are a nervous driver and aren't comfortable driving, then go with the Cavalier (#2). It's a bit safer for unsure drivers.

The smaller sedan-like cars, such as the Cavalier, are much easier to handle, as they don't tip because they are lower to the ground. The real question here is whether you would feel comfortable being one of the lowest cars on the highway/road. And cars aren't built as sturdy as SUVs are. SUVs have more reinforcement in their design. So if you are like me and prefer being high up, then go with the Escape.

And how much driving are you planning on doing with the car? My Rav4 has a teeny tiny gas tank, but I have to fill up every 3 weeks because I hardly go anywhere. Occasionally I'll go out to the mall or the movies. Other than that, it's going from home to school, school to home, home to work, work to home. If you are planning on having longer drives daily, then go with the Cavalier (#2).

Good luck with your choice!!!

#2 sounds great
i dont like fords so i wont pick three so 2 lol
ur car u choose but i like 2:thumbsup2

Happy belated birthday!

And I know NOTHING about cars. When I turn 17 in October, I'm just getting my dad's old beat up one. But hey, a car is a car!
I can't help you choose though, due to the total lack of knowledge.
Good luck, though!!

Hey Congrats! SWEET SIXTEEN...now I would choose #2, because of its good condition and sun roof, also because of the ok milage. Have fun!

and I almost forgot...
:bday: party: :bday:

I'm personally a ford fan, so i'd go number three. It's also about preference. I prefer sitting higher up, and really like SUVs.

Just go with what you want, it's all about your preferences.

I think you should wait for a little while and beg for the corvette c7.::yes:: ::yes::

I'd get whatever gets best gas mileage.
HAVE YOU SEEN GAS PRICES??? *dies*
Good thing I don't drive XD

Depends on which has better gas mileage.

I would probably go with choice 2 though.

2 all the way!!! i dun need 2 explain...

but u pick w/e u want!!! (:

Choice 2.

for these reasons:

a) you'll get better gas mileage than in an SUV- small or not.

b) SUNROOF.

c) FORD actually stands for "Found On Roadside Dead" and/or "Fix Or Repair Daily".
