Covid willing I’m attending a conference work in Florida in December. Clearwater. I want to fly into Orlando 2 days before and enjoy some time at the parks and then drive to my conference.
I will need to rent a car.

day 1 I fly into Orlando and since it will still be available: take ME to all star movies and then go hit the parks.

day 2: go to the park of my choosing and then take a mid day break to go to the car care center to pick up my rental. Request a shuttle to car care center. go back to all stars to get my luggage and then drive back to the parks. I need to drive to Clearwater this night. I might drive late in the evening/night to enjoy the parks as long as possible.

Day 3: my conference starts this day. I’ll rerurn the rental In Clearwater over the lunch break.

my questions: is there an easier way??? I hate breaking up my only full day to go get the rental. But I’m also trying to save $ and so I don’t want to have the rental longer than I need. I’m okay with just using the Disney busses. I swear real Disney magic would be the car just showing up for you..

I'd just pick up the car at the airport. While the extra day of the rental will add a little more to your cost, to me it'd be worth it to have a full park day, without having to interrupt it to get to the Car Care Center.

Looks like CCC opens at 730. What if you go there 1st on Day 2, pick up your car, then drive to park. Then go back to AS to get your luggage and leave.

You'd miss rope drop, but should have more park time.

I think this is probably the best.. just get the car when I land!
That would be my vote as well. I like saving money as much as the next person, so I totally get where you are coming from. But 1 extra day of car rental sounds much better than the hassle of running around trying to get a car on Day 2.

+ 2 days of parking fees at the resort!
