I need some suggestions in making my ADRs. There will be 4 of us, me my DH and my 2 DDS who are 21 and 14. We want to do a character breakfast this year again, and about 5 other nights of dining. We love just about any type of food, my girls are not big eatters, they usually split a meal for dinner or maybe order a few appetizers instead of a dinner. Last year we ate at Tonys, Prime Time, and a character dinner in the MK but I can't think of the name of the restaurant right now. I would like to hear other peoples opinions on where to go. We'll be there starting March 13th for 9 days. Thanks!;)

Good Character Meals
Chef Mickey at the Contemporary resort (just outside MK where the monorail goes through) is fantastic. Really nice food and a lot of fun for any age

Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club (next to the International Gateway in EPCOT) is meant to be nice. Its a clam bake at night or normal breakfast in the morning.

Other ideas
Le Cellier in EPCOT is awesome. They do a really nice mixture of steak house food and some nice non-traditional steakhouse meals

Resturant Marrakesh in EPCOT is nice. It's Morroccan and definately something that you don't get everyday but its all really good and the service when we went in there was the best Ive had anywhere in the parks

Teppan Edo in EPCOT is great. Went there when it was Teppanki dining (they gave it a recent face lift but same concept) and loved it. Basically you dine around a hot plate where a chef comes out and cooks your food for you. This is such a novel idea its great.

Not tried it yet but Yak & Yeti in Animal Kingdom has got some good reviews. It's asian style food.

Boma's at Animal Kingdom Lodge is also fantastic but as your girls tend not to eat much you may not want another buffett

Signature resturant wise (not sure if you would be interested in one of these or not) the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club (next to the Beach Club) is good but I also like Jikos at Animal Kingdom Lodge. This is African inspired and the food is good.

Here are our choices (the ones with *** with do every year):

Magic Kingdom:
Crystal Palace for breakfast with Winnie the Pooh & friends***
Plaza Restaurant (Table Service) great sandwiches, shakes and sundaes***

Epcot:
LeCellier--outstanding--need not say more***
Biergarten--buffett--lot of choices***
Sunshine Season (counter service)--lots of choices

Animal Kingdom:
Flame Tree Barbecue--good food***

Hollywood Studios:
Mama Melrose--people either love it or hate it--we've never had a bad meal***

Hope this helps

Here's what we like:

Magic Kingdom:

CS: Columbia Harbor House
Pinnochio's Village Haus
TS: Tony's - mixed reviews, but we love and have never had a bad meal there
LTT
CP

Epcot:

CS: Yakitori House

TS: Le Cellier
Biergarten
Les Chefs

Disney Studios:

TS: Sci-Fi (for lunch)
Mama Melrose - we really like it there too!
Prime Time is good, but we've skipped it the last few times

Animal Kingdom:

CS: Flame Tree or Tusker House

Haven't been to Yak and Yeti yet and we have a Rainforest Cafe 15 minutes from our house, so we don't bother going there.

HTH! :)

Iam definetly going to Tony's, like the op said, he has mixed reviews, but we love it. Then Iam thinking LeCellier for a late lunch, I noticed their lunch menu has more items that my girls will like. Definetly decided on Chef Mickeys for the character breakfast (even though my DH thinks the kids are too old) :rolleyes1 Mama Melrose looks like it has a good menu, but I don't want to do 2 italian restuarants. We usually eat at Prime Time, but Iam not so sure of that this year. My DH was diagnosed with borderline diabetis and recently went on cholesterol meds, so we have had to change our whole way of eatting. I know you can eat healthy in Disney, it's just making the right choices. Of course Iam sure we'll cheat alot being on vacation.:rolleyes1 I was looking into the Sci-Fi but Iam not sure I like the idea of sitting like that? I was thinking maybe the Fantasmic dinner package? has anyone done that before? I was wondering if its woth it? Thanks for the great ideas, Iam definetly going to lookin into them. :thumbsup2
