Help me justify a forth night....

...and I would add.... plan #1 and plan #2...that's 3 extra days, plus hopper bonus at Disney for LESS than the cost of one extra night at the Poly.:thumbsup2
WOW! Thank you so much! This is exactly what I was needing to show my husband. He is a numbers guy and I am not good with numbers at all! LOL
I am thinking 5 nights total (2 at Pop and 3 DVC Polynesian).

It's what I love to think about:crazy: you can do the 5 nite package but if you can swing the 6 financially,it's much more relaxing:thumbsup2

Actually I am thinking 5 nights total is plenty. So 2 nights at Pop plus 6 day park hopper is $1500. Is that a good deal?

And you guys have convinced me to not go with park hopper (if we don't take the pixie dust) or food plan. Thank you for explaining it!

OMG that is so dear for essentially a budget hotel with tix.

The DVC broker said it was not a big deal to cut the forth night. I have not received a new contract...

So are you renting a reservation through a dvc rental broker?

And you booked four nights then changed it to three but you don't have a contract?

You need to contact them and see what has been booked for you before mentally changing that stay around. Because once something is booked for you, that's it. No changes.

You say you're not good with numbers. But this is just adding up the costs and seeing what makes sense. Get a nice new notebook and a nice pen or pencil and start writing it all down it.

But first contact the broker to make sure what has been booked if anything.

Hi! Sorry for all the confusion. Planning has been all over the place. Our total budget is $3000. And time available is one full week. We have 3 nights at the Polynesian booked through a DVC broker. $1,000. Thursday through Sunday. It is paid for and confirmed now.
On Monday in the mail we received the Summer Storybook offer out of the blue. I have never received a code, so clearly I was giddy as a school girl! The code is for 10-30% off rooms with 6 day park hopper. So now we are thinking of doing a split stay. 2 nights at Pop (Tuesday and Wednesday night) and then moving to the Polynesian for the last 3 nights. Using the promotion, two nights at Pop would be $1500 (includes 6 days of tickets). So now we are looking at approximately $2500 for 5 night split stay and 6 day tickets for 4 adults (the kids are 12 years old).

Great deal at the Pop! 4 six day hoppers alone would be $1600, so you're getting two nights at POP for better than free!
